Formaggio

Formaggio keeps his hair cropped into a short buzzcut and carries an athletic build on an average frame. His outfit layers a studded leather jacket over a mesh shirt fitted with matching arm warmers, finished off with dark trousers.

An easy, laid-back manner defines Formaggio at a glance. Unlike the other killers hunting Team Bucciarati, he greets Narancia openly, tries to make small talk, and chuckles at his own jokes, and a resigned catchphrase, roughly "it can't be helped," marks his habit of shrugging off bad luck. He sharpens up considerably once a real fight is underway.

That relaxed front hides a cruel streak. He shows scant regard for human life and enjoys tormenting his targets, going so far as to trap a shrunken Narancia in a bottle with a spider, though even he has limits, balking at watching someone devoured alive and recoiling in horror at the grisly deaths of Sorbet and Gelato. The scorn his teammates heap on his Stand leaves him quietly resentful of them.

Formaggio belongs to Squadra Esecuzioni, a nine-strong faction within Passione whose members Sorbet and Gelato are murdered for probing the identity of the organization's boss. In retaliation the surviving assassins set their sights on the boss's daughter, Trish Una. Formaggio makes his move during a supply run, interrupting Narancia's shopping with idle chatter before striking. Recognizing that Narancia is a Stand user, he calls on Little Feet, a Stand that shrinks whatever its bladed finger scratches, to shrink himself and hide in his target's pocket while he waits for Narancia to dwindle as well.

The chase spirals as Narancia tracks him with Aerosmith by the carbon dioxide he breathes out, forcing Formaggio to flee through a sewer clinging to a rat. Wounded but not killed, he returns to full size and demands Trish's whereabouts; enraged by Narancia's refusal, he spots a dropped map that betrays her location. Narancia, however, has punctured a car's fuel tank, and the resulting blaze engulfs Formaggio. He smothers the flames with his own blood and shrinks away, but Narancia simply sets more cars alight to hem him in. Cornered and badly burned, Formaggio makes his stand at close range, where Little Feet's speed should favor him, only for Aerosmith to prove faster and gun down his Stand's vital points. Dying, he finds grim comfort in having ruined Narancia's mission and handed his comrades a fresh lead on Trish.
