George Joestar II

George bears a strong resemblance to his father Jonathan as well as to his son Joseph. He is shown only in a military dress uniform, his hair said to be short and dark.

George is taken to be a skilled combat aviator, among the first men to fly warplanes in the First World War. He shows a latent knack for the Ripple in the same vein as both his father and his son, though nobody ever trains him to harness it. In the light novel he serves as a trained Royal Air Force marksman piloting a craft called the Star Shooter beside his co-pilot Jim Graham. There he also inherits a fragment of the power called Beyond, passed on after Tsukumojuku's death and shared among himself, Joji, and Dio Brando. Beyond grants its holder the awareness of being nothing more than a character inside someone else's tale, and by trusting in it he can bend fate to furnish whatever serves him best, making it one of the series' mightiest abilities despite its non-canon standing.

Born in 1889 only months after Dio Brando murdered his father Jonathan, George is raised largely alone by his pregnant, widowed mother Erina. He later marries the young girl Erina once rescued, and together they have a son, Joseph. Serving as a Royal Air Force pilot in the First World War, George learns that one of his superior officers is a zombie of Dio's making, hidden away for years. He confronts the creature, but without proper Ripple training he falls in the fight, and his death is disguised as a flying accident. His widow Lisa Lisa avenges him, leaving home to destroy the zombie officer with the Ripple herself.

The light novel JORGE JOESTAR recasts him as a central hero under the Spanish spelling of his name. It opens with an eleven year old Jorge in La Palma, tormented by the bully Antonio Torres until a boy named Tsukumojuku Kato arrives and cracks a baffling murder. The two become inseparable case solvers, but Tsukumojuku departs for Japan and is lost when his ship sinks, leaving Jorge to grieve. Years later Jorge is framed for the murder of his friend Kenton Motorize, clears his name, and joins the Royal Air Force. When zombies seize the air base and its planes during the war, he and Lisa Lisa take flight to defend London. On his wedding day, Antonio, wearing the body of William Cardinal, nearly kills him, and Jorge invokes his Beyond to call up the dead Tsukumojuku, who spirits him away to a floating Morioh where he meets Giorno Giovanna and learns of Stands and his displaced parallel self.
