Appearance

Ghiaccio stands below average height with a lean, middling build. His pale blue hair gathers into a handful of large coils, and he wears thick rimmed red glasses that Mista shatters during their fight. His outfit runs to a blouse fastened along one side of the chest over banded trousers, and where his teammates favor boots or shoes he sticks to sneakers. For most of his appearances he is sealed inside White Album, the white full body suit his Stand forms around him.

Personality

For all his temper, Ghiaccio is a sharp and largely level headed killer, brimming with confidence in his fearsome ice Stand and dismissing his opponents' efforts as pointless. He willingly faces Giorno Giovanna and Mista alone, narrating his own schemes aloud and mocking their attempts, yet he is honest enough to praise Mista for the hard fight he puts up. Aware of his own vulnerabilities, he devises workarounds for his Stand's exposed weak point and improvises cleverly under pressure. His most famous trait is a furious fixation on language: he seethes at garbled metaphors and at foreigners who write Venezia as Venice, working himself into sweating, object smashing rages. That same prideful anger has him grumbling loudest about his squad's paltry pay and even twisting his late superior Polpo's name into an insult.

Abilities

Ghiaccio's Stand, White Album, drives down the temperature of everything around him and freezes the air into a durable full body suit fitted with ice skate blades at the feet. Its one flaw is a small breathing hole at the back of the neck. A second mode, Gently Weeps, plunges the cold to nearly two hundred ten degrees below zero, close to absolute zero, letting him seal even that hole by freezing and thawing air on the fly, at the cost of draining most of his Stand power. His own body is formidable too, strong enough in a rage to dent a car roof or smash a dashboard bare handed.

As a member of Squadra Esecuzioni turned against their Boss, Ghiaccio hunts Giorno and Mista near Venezia, skating after their car and then across a frozen stretch of sea. Mista deduces the neck hole by diving underwater, though Ghiaccio counters by erupting frozen air to make it bulletproof, and he seizes the Boss's disk certain of victory. In the end he is driven back onto a splintered lamppost that pierces the very hole he guarded; he freezes his own blood to cling to life, until Gold Experience forces him further down the post and kills him.
