Josuke Higashikata stars in Diamond is Unbreakable as the franchise's fourth JoJo. A high schooler living in Morioh, he learns from Jotaro Kujo that Joseph Joestar fathered him out of wedlock, and takes up the duty of guarding his hometown with his healing Stand, Crazy Diamond.
Josuke is a tall, good-looking teenager of average build, with a small stud set in each earlobe. The detail he prizes most is his carefully groomed Elvis-style pompadour, modeled after an unknown young man who once saved his life, which spikes up when his mood sours. He dresses in a heavily modified school uniform: a body-hugging jacket reaching mid-thigh, wide-legged trousers, and a light undershirt with short zippers, the jacket pinned open rather than buttoned.
Metallic gold emblems cover the outfit, among them an anchor, hearts, and a peace sign, with gold bands at both wrists. A man of expensive tastes, he splurges on brand-name socks, shoes, and underwear. The star birthmark of the Joestar line marks his skin.
Josuke is shrewd, confident, and brave, and his easy friendliness earns him companions across the story. His defining trait is kindness, mirrored in a Stand that mends and heals rather than destroys. Less violent by default than other JoJos, he can shrug off bullying and stay loyal to those he cares for, risking himself for Koichi and carrying a wounded Okuyasu through battle. When his grandfather died, he swore to protect Morioh in the old man's place.
He behaves like the teenager he is, more interested in hanging out than heroics, and only springs into action when a Stand user crosses his path. Calm and cocky in a fight, his confidence rests in Crazy Diamond more than in himself, and he bites his lip when unsure. He inherits his father's mischief where money is involved, hatching schemes to get rich quick, and famously flies into a blind rage the instant anyone mocks his hairstyle.
Born in 1983 from an affair between Joseph Joestar and Tomoko Higashikata, Josuke grew up in the care of his mother and grandfather. At age five, DIO's piercing by the Stand arrow rippled through the Joestar bloodline and awakened his Stand while burning him with fever; a passing high schooler with a pompadour saved him by wedging a coat under the family car, inspiring the hairstyle he keeps to this day.
In 1999 he is confronted by Jotaro, who reveals their kinship. When the killer Angelo murders his grandfather Ryohei with the water Stand Aqua Necklace, Josuke traps and defeats him, fusing him into a roadside rock and vowing to defend the town. His Stand, Crazy Diamond, restores objects and organisms to earlier states and heals wounds, though it cannot revive the dead or repair Josuke himself. He battles the Nijimura brothers over the arrow, defeats Akira Otoishi and Red Hot Chili Pepper, and meets his estranged father Joseph, warming to him after helping care for an invisible baby.
As Morioh's hidden serial killer strikes, Josuke joins the hunt for Yoshikage Kira. He corners the murderer more than once and endures Killer Queen's explosions before finally cornering Kira in the streets, where the villain is run down by an ambulance. With the town safe, Josuke sees Joseph and Jotaro off, lifting his father's wallet with Crazy Diamond as a parting joke.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
There are two characters named Josuke Higashikata: this Diamond is Unbreakable version, the illegitimate son of Joseph Joestar and the franchise's fourth JoJo, and a separate, unrelated Josuke Higashikata from JoJolion who is a fusion of Josefumi Kujo and Yoshikage Kira.
Yes, Josuke Higashikata is a blood member of the Higashikata family through his mother, Tomoko Higashikata, and was raised in Morioh by her and his grandfather Ryohei Higashikata.
Josuke Higashikata is nicknamed JoJo as the fourth protagonist descended from the Joestar line, continuing the series tradition of giving each lead character that nickname.
Josuke Higashikata goes by his mother Tomoko's surname because he was born out of wedlock from Joseph Joestar's affair with her, and he grew up without his father's involvement until Jotaro Kujo revealed their kinship in 1999.
Josuke Higashikata's Stand is Crazy Diamond, which restores objects and organisms to earlier states and heals wounds, though it cannot revive the dead or repair Josuke himself.
