Kosaku Kawajiri

Kosaku shares almost the exact build and height of Yoshikage Kira, differing mainly in his slightly larger feet. When first shown, Cinderella has already stripped away his facial features and a section of his hair.

Judging by the look Kira later wears in his place, Kosaku had spiky black hair, narrow dark eyes, and cheekbones set higher than Kira's own.

Never once seen alive, Kosaku is known only through his wife's account of a timid man who could never manage the rent and was pushed around at work despite showing up every day. He got on poorly with his son, despised his wife's cooking, and went silent rather than argue when upset, never offering an apology.

He disliked the family cat enough to lock it out at night, kept clear of smoking and drinking, and struck his relatives as dull, with a particular distaste for shiitake mushrooms.

School friends of Shinobu introduced her to Kosaku, and she dated him mostly for the sense of superiority it gave her; an unplanned pregnancy pushed them into marriage. Years later, heading home from work as Kira fled Josuke and his friends, Kosaku had the misfortune of matching Kira's build.

Kira hauled him over to Aya Tsuji's salon, killed him, and forced Aya to trade their faces and fingerprints before disposing of the body entirely. Taking the dead man's name, Kira moved in with his family, and because Kira eventually died under his own identity, the public never learned Kosaku had been killed.
