An attractive Egyptian woman, Malèna wears her long hair gathered into a ponytail. Her outfit pairs a polka-dotted cloak with a thin dress beneath it, finished with large metal earrings and matching wristbands.

Warm and clearly at ease with children, she looks after the shrunken Polnareff even through his tantrums. After Sethan's power over her is broken, she is genuinely troubled by the boy's sudden disappearance.

She comes across the child-sized Polnareff on the street after Alessi's attack and brings him home to heal, even bathing him. When Sethan reduces her to a fetus, Polnareff races to beat Alessi before she can perish, succeeding but leaving one of his earrings behind in her home. Restored to normal, she goes looking for the boy and, not recognizing the now grown-again Polnareff, asks whether he has seen the child.

Rather than flirt as he so often does with women, Polnareff simply denies having seen the boy and turns away, quietly asking Jotaro to keep the moment to himself, a sign that her kindness had touched him. Noticing they wear the same earring, she is left sensing that this man might have been the child she cared for.
