Perla Pucci

Slender and youthful, Perla wears her blonde hair long, with a slim braid framing each side of her face.

Cheerful, gentle, and full of warmth, Perla nonetheless carries a real streak of steel. She falls hard for Domenico Pucci, then living under the name Wes Bluemarine, with no notion that he is her brother. Her nerve shows when she strikes a Klan leader across the face, yet the grief of losing the man she loves proves more than she can bear.

As the sole daughter of the Pucci household, Perla grows into a striking young woman and crosses paths with a delivery boy named Wes. He fends off a thief targeting her bag, and affection blossoms quickly between them. Enrico soon works out that Wes is his own twin and looks for a way to separate the couple that would spare Perla pain. The detective agency he hires, however, turns out to be tied to the Ku Klux Klan; their probe reveals that Wes's mother had wed a Black man. Catching the pair sharing a goodnight kiss, the group assaults them over the interracial bond.

The violence spirals brutally: Wes is beaten near death and strung from a tree while Perla is injured as well. She cuts him down, and realizing her brother set the tragedy in motion, swears never to feel anything again before leaping from the nearby cliff to her death. Her body later surfaces in the river, and Enrico's wish to preserve her memory awakens Whitesnake, letting him keep the DISC of her memory at his side.
