Poco's Sister

A teenage girl from England, Poco's sister keeps her long dark hair bound into ponytails or braids. Her striking looks are enough to catch Dio's interest. Her wardrobe stays modest otherwise, a simple dress, jacket, and coat suited to a working-class woman of 19th-century England.

Bold and upright by nature, she thinks nothing of chasing off her brother's tormentors and sending them running. Her frustration with Poco's timidity boils over into a scolding and a slap meant to toughen him up, and even face to face with the vampire Dio Brando she rejects his offer of immortality and strikes him. For all that fire, a tender streak runs through her too, since she tends to Poco after his beatings and braves the night to search for him.

She first appears in Poco's memory of being bullied, the other boys scattering the moment she arrives. Asking her brother when he means to stop being a coward, she answers his weak "tomorrow" with a slap and hauls him home. Later, after the heroes bring Poco back, his father reveals that she had gone out into the night to find him.

In truth Dio had seized her and locked her in his castle, and the vampire, noting her age, killed one of his zombie pets for a lewd remark before trying to seduce her with promises of endless life and beauty. She slaps him instead, branding him a monster pretending to be a man. Unruffled, Dio takes his leave and hands her over to his minion Doobie, but Jonathan arrives to save her before the creature can strike. Through Jonathan's clash with Dio, she and Poco stay protected by Straizo, and once the fighting ends she appears with her brother at the port, wishing Jonathan and Erina well on their honeymoon.
