Poor Tom

Poor Tom is a short, heavyset man so small he could pass for a child at a glance, yet a closer look reveals a face lined with wrinkles and a cigarette usually in hand. Apart from his shorts and sandals, much of what he wears looks drawn straight onto his body and shaded in places, with short hair spiking from the lighter portion of his head. Those painted-on details include a name-bearing tie, a "Coda" pin nodding to Led Zeppelin, and a pocket watch. He also owns a properly tailored doctor's coat for his work at the university hospital.

Blunt and openly lecherous, Poor Tom hides a coarse streak behind his small frame. He boasts of a girlfriend yet still ogles other women, using his height to peer up their skirts, and he speaks to everyone in an overfamiliar tone. For all that, he snaps back to business fast, correctly reading Urban Guerrilla's silence as failure and moving straight to recruit Jobin. He is willing to reveal part of his Stand's secret to win Jobin over, and coldly malicious in hiding that Ozon Baby will endanger the whole Higashikata family, not just Josuke and Rai.

When his own life is truly on the line, though, that nerve collapses into groveling, and he offers Josuke piles of money to be spared. As a doctor specialized in obstetrics, he was plainly bright enough to earn his diploma.

Poor Tom is a Rock Human whose younger years remain a blank, though at some point he joined an organization of his own kind and became the handler of Urban Guerrilla and Doremifasolati Do. On learning of a new Locacaca variety tied to a hidden branch capable of granting immortality, he orders his pair to seize Rai Mamezuku and eliminate Josuke's protectors. When they fail to report in, he concludes they are dead and calls Jobin Higashikata.

Meeting him, he instructs Jobin to bury a LEGO White House replica in the Higashikata orchard, explaining that doing so will seal the grounds and trigger Ozon Baby, a Stand that floods the buried area with crushing depressurization. In reality he has tricked Jobin into assaulting the whole estate, wounding most of the family and trapping Jobin and Tsurugi. The scheme unravels when Jobin phones to say he has set the orchard ablaze. Rushing over, Tom digs up Ozon Baby and runs into Rai by accident.

Rai exposes the famed Locacaca branch but attacks him, and only Ozon Baby's full force, crushing Rai, saves Tom from Doggy Style's wire. Josuke then intervenes, and the two force a poisonous yew seed down his throat. Tom finishes Rai off, grabs the branch, and flees despite the poison, chased by a layered bubble Josuke launches after him. Cornered, he spots a fire truck and ambulance and hopes his allies have come to help. He disables Ozon Baby to steer the bubble away and it bursts empty; clutching what he takes to be the branch, he bolts toward the ambulance, only to be gunned down by an unseen attacker.
