Romeo Jisso

Romeo is a young, athletic American man. His hair is cut into an undercut, shaved so the remaining strands form three or four stripes wrapping around the sides of his head.

Romeo embodies the clichés of a pampered rich kid: timid, self-centered, and quick to dodge accountability. Fearing that a scandal could sink his college prospects, he pins the blame for their car accident on Jolyne and pays off a corrupt lawyer, who unknowingly also answers to Johngalli A, to see her locked away for years. A more loyal streak surfaces later, when he deliberately misleads the police pursuing her, yet his fundamental cowardice never truly leaves him.

The trouble begins during an after-school drive with Jolyne. Stealing a kiss on the road, Romeo strikes a pedestrian, and rather than face the consequences he convinces Jolyne to hide the body, only for the authorities to catch up with them. To save himself, he fabricates an alibi claiming Jolyne had been drunk behind the wheel the entire time and was solely at fault. Backed by Johngalli A's hired hack lawyer, his testimony walks him free while she is condemned.

Later, after the escape from Green Dolphin Street Prison, Jolyne comes to him for supplies and a vehicle. Ermes copies his tongue so that the group can hear everything he says, and Romeo throws the police off by reporting that the fugitives fled toward Mexico, buying Jolyne and the others room to run. Jolyne peels the sticker away afterward regardless, injuring his tongue.
