Rubber Soul

Curly, dark hair tops Rubber Soul's heavily muscled frame. He goes shirtless yet keeps his pants and shoes, and his Stand can make him balloon in size or take on someone else's look entirely at will.

Lured by DIO's promise of a hundred million dollars for Jotaro's death, Rubber Soul is a genuinely repellent figure. Rude and pitiless, he regards people and animals alike as little more than fuel for Yellow Temperance, and he is neither bright nor even-tempered. Vanity and arrogance define him, as he boasts of his good looks and his Stand's supposed invincibility while sneering at his target's abilities, and he shows a perverse, lecherous streak on top of casual, remorseless violence. For all his bluster he is a coward at heart, betraying his fellow assassins to save his own skin and dreading pain of any kind.

His Stand, Yellow Temperance, is a sticky, rubbery mass fused to his body that devours any organic matter it touches. It shields him from brute force and lets him mimic others convincingly, and unusually it is a Stand that ordinary people can see and touch. Its tarot association, Temperance, warns that only calm and balance stave off defeat, which is exactly the lesson Jotaro must learn, since only by mirroring Joseph Joestar's composed fighting style does he gain the upper hand.

The disguise unravels in Singapore when Rubber Soul, posing as Kakyoin, behaves too strangely, from assaulting a pickpocket to his off-putting speech. After Jotaro punches him off a cable car, he reveals a fragment of Yellow Temperance clinging to Jotaro's finger and gloats over its reach, even devouring a dog to flaunt its hunger. Jotaro drags him into the water below, where, forced to loosen the Stand's guard in order to breathe, the mercenary is beaten into naming the remaining assassins tied to the Empress, Emperor, Death, and Hanged Man cards before Star Platinum finishes him off.
