Appearance

Because Secco almost never removes the Stand Oasis that encases him, few of his real features are visible; what shows through is a lithe, athletic body, an unusually long tongue, and a set of crooked teeth. The novel JORGE JOESTAR reimagines his outfit as something far more revealing, resembling bondage gear complete with a mouth gag and only one eye left uncovered.

Personality

Secco's background is murky enough that even the Boss could turn up nothing solid on him. Formerly one of Cioccolata's patients, he came to share the doctor's appetite for cruelty and attached himself to the man like a devoted animal, communicating at first through grunts and gestures rather than words and earning sugar cubes for filming victims as they died. That loyalty proves hollow, though. The instant Cioccolata falls, Secco declares he only ever obeyed because the doctor was strong, clever, wealthy, and generous with candy, then brands him weak and spits on the camera he once used. From there he reveals a far sharper, more articulate and gleefully vicious mind, and he takes real offense when Bucciarati mimics his fighting style.

History

Secco fights inside Oasis, a suit-like Stand that grants him strength well past human limits and lets him turn anything he touches to liquid. He spits with lethal accuracy, batting bullets aside with flung stones and melting rock to launch it upward as a rain of spikes. Years of burrowing through the earth have also sharpened his hearing into a tracking sense, pinpointing foes from underground, though that same reliance becomes his undoing once his ears fail. His path to Cioccolata's side began in the doctor's care; spared and taken on as a henchman, he was later folded into Passione, where both men received their Stands, and the anime even hints he filmed the killing of Sorbet and Gelato.

Sent to Rome as a last resort against Team Bucciarati, Secco assails Mista and Bucciarati and swiftly proves more dangerous than expected, ending up locked in a solo brawl with Bucciarati. On learning that Green Day leaves Bucciarati unharmed, he demands the reason, hoping to weaponize it against the Boss. He strikes faster than even Sticky Fingers by using the ground to load each punch, and he chases his quarry underground when Bucciarati flees. The tide turns when a popped tire shatters Secco's eardrums along with Bucciarati's, wrecking his sense of direction; panicked, he grabs a boy as a hostage who turns out to be Doppio. Bucciarati strikes both, passing harmlessly through Doppio while zipping Secco's arm to his chest and sealing his throat shut. Choking, Secco stumbles into the same combustible garbage truck that had claimed Cioccolata, and his final act is a futile attempt to rouse his master's body as the vehicle rolls toward the incinerator.
