Sports Maxx

Maxx dresses like the affluent South Florida criminal he is, favoring a lavender suit worn under a long paisley-patterned coat and matching pants, with a cool blue ascot knotted at his throat. Behind bars, that coat picks up the facility's inmate initials, recasting the garment as a makeshift uniform. Physically he is a man of roughly average build with short, thinly spiked hair and rounded eyebrows that taper into little tails. Once he becomes a zombie, his skin pales and his features grow gaunt.

Before his sentence, Maxx conducts himself as a savage gangster. Inside the prison, though, he adopts a more respectable veneer, sculpting a bird and laying flowers at the graveyard. His genuine pastimes run less dignified, spanning taxidermy, hard drug use, and paying for sex with prostitutes and fellow inmates.

By trade Maxx is a car dealer, but in reality he is a vicious criminal with over forty offenses to his name. After he guns down a victim just outside a restaurant belonging to Gloria Costello, she witnesses the crime, so he sends a subordinate to kill her and dump the body in a gutter. Her sister Ermes uncovers his guilt and commits herself to vengeance. Maxx is eventually arrested but convicted only of assault and tax evasion, drawing a five-year term.

Inside the prison, Pucci hands him the Stand Limp Bizkit and has him reanimate DIO's bone, which, after absorbing thirty-six souls, transforms into the Green Baby. Maxx can raise and command the corpses of both people and animals, and after his own death the Stand preserves his body and spirit as an undead zombie, letting him tear himself apart without pain while granting inhuman strength.

Cornered by Ermes, Maxx ends up drowned in a sewer pipe by her Stand, Kiss, yet he turns himself into an invisible zombie and calls a horde of the dead to fight for him. The clash pulls in Jolyne and gravely wounds Foo Fighters, but Ermes ultimately overcomes him and avenges Gloria. Battered until his Stand Disc is knocked loose, Maxx loses Limp Bizkit's protection and dissolves into mush. He briefly reappears afterward as a memory summoned through Under World.
