Thunder McQueen

McQueen stands at roughly average to slightly above-average height with a moderate frame. A distinct M shape marks the right side of his brow. His outfit runs to fuzzy trousers and a short-sleeved top, the collar tagged with the letters EDWN.

Consumed by depression, McQueen is deeply suicidal and wrestles with a personality disorder. He turns to confession for a fleeting sense of relief and dwells on a belief that society has cast him aside, which feeds a self-absorbed streak. Over the course of their confrontation he forms a warped, lopsided bond with Ermes Costello.

He drew an eight-year sentence for shooting a woman, an act he insists was pure chance: he claims a gun went off while he cleaned it at the very instant she fell past his window during a suicide leap from the eleventh floor. Inside the prison he first turns up reaching under Ermes Costello's skirt to lift her cash, and when she reclaims it his memory disc pops loose from his skull. His borrowed Stand, Highway to Hell, passes whatever harm he inflicts on himself onto a linked victim, so his hanging and drowning attempts force Ermes to save them both. Her encouragement and even an offer of her underwear fail to talk him down, instead sparking a wish to die together. When he tries electrocution, she cuts the current with a sticker in time, then splits his head using Kiss, knocking his Stand disc free. Ermes later tells Jolyne she slid his memory disc back in to revive him, though without a Stand.
