Overview
During the cross-country race, a royal messenger delivers Gyro a letter pointing to the remedy's location in the Red Canyon, some fifty kilometers to his north. The same note is read by Oyecomova, a bomber from Gyro's homeland, which sparks a struggle over who will claim the prize.
Function
At rest the item looks like an oddly drawn mural of a fierce, unpleasant-looking horse pressed into rock. Peeled away, its real shape is a thread that eases exhaustion and mends wounds up to a point. Gyro uses it to reattach his own leg after the limb is blown off in the clash with Oyecomova, a feat strange enough that Johnny wonders aloud whether he is watching a Stand at work. He later combines it with a Steel Ball to patch up Johnny after Funny Valentine shoots him.
