History
Little is documented about his early life, though the anime places his Academy enrollment alongside Kakashi Hatake and their peers. During the Chunin Exams' final stage he stood watch at the arena gate, greeting Lee and Guy on their arrival and passing along the news that Naruto had beaten Neji. Later, in the anime's account of Pain's Assault, he was posted with Riichi and other sentries beyond the village wall. After Pain cut down Riichi and the rest, Tsuzumi tried to run and warn Tsunade, only to be drawn in and run through with a chakra rod, dying on the spot. Nagato's Outer Path: Samsara of Heavenly Life Technique afterward returned him to the living.
