Xiao

Tiny and slight of frame, Xiao stands out for her tousled crop of red hair and her wide, dark eyes. The downward point of her upper lip lends her face an almost beaked look. Following the custom of everyone born in her village, feathers sprout from her elbows, and those feathers let her drift and glide through the air. Her outfit is a simple short-sleeved top split between white and purple.

Family loyalty drives much of what Xiao does. When her grandmother grew sick, she pushed beyond the dangerous Daft Green bordering her home in search of the rare IQ that might cure her. She also frightens with remarkable ease, prone to fainting over minor shocks, including the moment she realized that Chopper could speak.

Prolonged exposure to the toxic Daft Green left Xiao's grandmother bedridden, so the girl set out to gather whatever scraps of IQ she could find after Shiki had hoarded the rest. Wild beasts nearly killed her during the search, but Zoro and Chopper intervened and escorted her safely back to her village. There she overheard that Shiki planned to depart for the East Blue, not realizing he meant to assault it rather than abandon the island.

When Shiki raised a pillar that trapped Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Usopp, and Chopper, and the stripped-away Daft Greens left the village open to roaming animals, Xiao sheltered underground with her mother and grandmother to wait out the rampage. Once the crew regrouped, she handed them the Tone Dial that Nami had left behind. After Shiki's defeat, she was glimpsed soaring alongside her reunited family, her sister and father restored to her, as they escaped the collapse of his floating islands. She later made a brief appearance in One Piece: Stampede, riding the Puffing Ice as it passed over Delta Island.
