Stinger

Character

Stinger holds A-Class Rank 10 in the Hero Association and battles with a bamboo-shoot spear raised on his family's farms. Prone to overrating his enemies, he is nonetheless the rare A-Class hero who has downed several Tiger-level monsters at once and lived to tell it.

Personality

Brash and self-assured, Stinger takes real pride in his rank and his showing in the popularity polls, and he tends to inflate the menace of his foes, once convinced he had slain a God-level threat that proved only Tiger-level. Reckless he is not, though: he withheld a signature move until civilians had escaped and stayed his hand rather than hit a hero Garou held as a shield, and he deliberately soaked up blows from a swarm of Seafolk to win bystanders time to run.

Ever willing to fight beside others, he raced to help Glasses against Garou and got Lightning Genji back on his feet, yet a taunt gets under his skin fast. For all that, he knows his limits and pulls back when sense demands, as he did facing the towering mother Grizzly Nyah.

Abilities

Ranking high in A-Class, Stinger can fell several Tiger-level monsters at once. One thrust of his spear was enough to badly wound a child Grizzly Nyah, a creature whose grown form reaches Demon-level, and he cracked the A-Class top ten just six months after signing on. Okame-Chan put his physical strength at 1600, higher than Darkness Blade or a bear but short of Child Emperor and the Great Philosopher.

His raw power lets him gut and kill Tiger-level Seafolk with lone stabs and lop the arm off a young Grizzly Nyah, while his speed drops enemies before they can respond and even let him cut off a battered Garou's aerial charge. He is durable too, weathering assaults from six Tiger-level Seafolk and surviving an offhand punch from the Deep Sea King, though that blow knocked him cold with heavy wounds. A master of the spear, his hallmark is the Gigantic Drill Stinger, a spinning lunge that bores clean through a target and can slay several Tiger-level threats in one blow, extended by the Quadruple Thrust, which spins him into the air for four lightning stabs. The spear itself, a Bamboo Shoot grown on his family's farms, peels apart as it strikes and is swapped for a fresh one before every mission.
