2D-ify is an Emitter Quirk belonging to one of the Avant-Garders, and it reduces whatever it catches to flat artwork. Victims end up sealed behind a picture frame, still able to move around inside the image but with no route back out into the world they came from.
Introduced in the twenty-seventh chapter of My Hero Academia: Team-Up Missions, 2D-ify is held by an unnamed member of the villain group called the Avant-Garders. The Japanese name is written 二次元化 and read Nijigenka. It is classed as an Emitter Quirk with a reach limited to close quarters.
Capture, not destruction, is the point of the power. Whatever it takes hold of is converted into a painting and kept there.
A picture frame is the instrument. Working through it, the wielder pulls in people and objects alike, flattening them into artwork bound inside the frame's borders. Those caught retain the ability to move about within the picture, but the boundary holds and none of them can step back out on their own.
What switches the effect off has not been spelled out. Observation points to the Quirk lapsing once its user has been pinned down or otherwise rendered unable to act, though the exact conditions remain unconfirmed.
A single wielder is on record, the unnamed Avant-Garders member, and the power appears only within the Team-Up Missions spin-off rather than the main story.
It also carries one small distinction in the wider catalogue of Quirks: no other known power in the series has a numeral built into its name.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....

The only known user of 2D-ify is an unnamed member of the Avant-Garders, a villain group introduced in My Hero Academia: Team-Up Missions. No other user has been shown in the series.
2D-ify is channeled through a picture frame that the user wields to pull in people or objects and flatten them into a painting. Those trapped inside can still move around within the image but cannot step back out on their own.
Escape is not shown on the victim's own terms. What actually switches 2D-ify off is unconfirmed, though the effect is believed to lapse once the user has been pinned down or otherwise rendered unable to act.
2D-ify debuted in Chapter 27 of My Hero Academia: Team-Up Missions. It is notable as one of the only Quirks in the series with a numeral built into its name.
