Chimera

Written キメラ and read Kimera, Chimera belongs to Chojuro Kon and appears in My Hero Academia: Heroes: Rising. The classification is Mutant, and the working range is medium.

The Quirk shares its name with its user's page but is documented separately, since the ability itself carries considerably more detail than a single villain's role in one film.

The power layers the characteristics of multiple animals onto one body, sharpening those traits and permitting the user to swell them to monstrous scale. Whatever function the borrowed trait serves, it arrives amplified, and the result is a steep climb in both strength and durability.

For Chojuro, the baseline never switches off. A blue werewolf form is where he sits permanently, and other creatures layer on top of it. He takes on avian and reptilian traits at will, and at the top end he draws on a dragon, breathing fire from his mouth. That flame is not limited to a spray, since he can compress it into a large beam of energy with far greater force behind it.

Two comparisons illuminate it. Beast covers similar ground by turning its user into a bigger, stronger animal, but Chimera spans a wider set of abilities because several creatures feed into it, and the two are classed differently, Beast as Transformation against Chimera as Mutant. At full power Chojuro also evokes Tamaki Amajiki using Manifest, another power that stacks animal traits onto its holder. The difference is setup. Chimera needs no groundwork, since the animal aspects never leave, while Tamaki must prepare. Both men have used their powers to fire heavy energy beams, but Chojuro only had to push his Quirk to maximum, whereas Tamaki required time spent consuming the attributes of assorted animals along with Nejire Hado's Wave Motion.

Chojuro Kon is the only known holder of Chimera.
