Glide and Slide

Glide and Slide is a close-range Emitter power original to Vigilantes, held by every one of the Sturm und Drang triplets. Its interest lies partly in the mobility it grants and partly in the genetics behind it, since it marks the first time the series shows multiple people apparently born with the same ability.

It should not be confused with the near-identically named Slide and Glide, which belongs to Koichi Haimawari.

Holders travel along the ground as though wearing roller skates, working up momentum through the same swaying gestures a skater would use. The result is speed well past what an ordinary person manages on foot, though no top figure has ever been recorded.

Koichi Haimawari's Slide and Glide is a separate and faster power; he caught up to the brothers and overtook them without much difficulty. The two also differ in what they demand, since this version appears to need only one foot touching whatever surface is being crossed.

The Three Sturm und Drang Brothers are the only known holders, and their signature techniques serve petty theft rather than combat. Slipstream Strip runs as a three-man relay: the first flips up a girl's skirt, the second removes the underwear beneath, and the third puts it on. Hyper Tornado Strip refines the routine, taking several garments in a single pass and widening the targets to men's boxers as well as women's panties.

Their case matters on genetic grounds. The three share a family line and are implied to be triplets, which raises the possibility that a shared womb means a shared Quirk. They are not, however, the first people shown to hold the same power.
