Overview
Leap is a close range Emitter Quirk introduced alongside Kazuho Haneyama in the opening chapter and opening episode of the Vigilantes spin-off. Rather than granting the sky outright, it converts a push off firm ground into extraordinary vertical and horizontal travel, giving its owner mobility that resembles flight without ever actually being it.
Mechanics
The Quirk needs something underfoot to shove against. With that footing secured, the user vaults far higher and much further than any body should manage, and the same activation cushions the landing so that touching down again does no harm.
That safety net is narrow. Protection covers only the bound the user deliberately makes, so a fall that happens outside of an active use offers nothing, and a sufficient drop can maim or kill. The surface itself matters too: mud, sand, and other yielding ground rob the push of its force, cutting down both the height reached and the distance covered.
