Metal Manipulation

Character

Wolfram, the antagonist of My Hero Academia: Two Heroes, reshapes any metal he can lay a hand on. A touch sets his palms crackling with blue energy, and the surrounding material rises into pillars, walls, and blocks. Strip the metal out of a room and he has almost nothing left.

Mechanics

The Quirk reaches only metal that already exists nearby, since none of it is created. Laying a palm against a metallic surface hands the owner command of whatever metal shares that space, and he is free to bend and reform it into structures for attack or cover. At the moment of contact the activating hand glows with an electrical discharge of vivid blue energy.

Environments crowded with metal favor him heavily. Barren settings leave him with little to work with, and the Quirk performs poorly in a close-quarters exchange.

Notable Users

Wolfram is the only known holder. His standard approach is to draw iron minerals out of the ground and drive sturdy pillars at his opponents.

Somewhere rich in material, such as the I-Island Central Tower, he can raise flexible pillars to crush a target, wall himself in, or trap enemies behind barriers. His defense at that level held against a smash from Izuku Midoriya using Full Gauntlet.

The Quirk Amplification Device stretched his reach far past its normal limit. He stripped metal from the tower's upper floors, wrecking parts of the building in the process, and walled himself into a scrap-metal fortress. In that state he buried opponents under iron pillars and cubes by the dozen, and could gather those cubes into one enormous steel block. His defense at that strength blocked a smash from All Might.
