Spear Hand Missiles

Character

A handful of anime-original delinquents come equipped with fingers that double as ordnance. Spear Hand Missiles launches those digits as reloadable projectiles, fast but so poorly aimed that hitting anything is closer to luck than marksmanship.

Overview

Spear Hand Missiles, rendered as Nuki-te Misairu, belongs to a group of unnamed students attending the 3rd Planet From The Black Hole High School. It is a Mutant-type Quirk with long range, appearing in Episode 16 of the Vigilantes anime.

The ability exists purely as an adaptation change. It stands in for the Mazinger Brothers, whose Rocket Thrust powers filled the equivalent role on the printed page.

Mechanics

Each finger is a compact missile that the user fires straight off the hand, and the supply reloads rather than running out. Speed is not the problem: the rounds travel quickly but wobble along wildly unpredictable paths, so they miss more often than not.

They are also easy to stop. Blocking one costs the defender very little, though a direct hit carries enough punch to daze a person and bloody their nose.

Notable Users

Only the delinquents attending 3rd Planet From The Black Hole High School are known to carry it. One of them opened fire on Koichi Haimawari, known as The Crawler, after the vigilante broke up their attempt to hit on girls at a rival school. Koichi evaded the volley or knocked it aside by accident, and a stray projectile ended up striking the student in the face and dropping him to the ground.
