Selkie is a seal in every way that matters, and the ocean is his office. Spotted Seal bundles the whole animal into one Quirk: crushing strength on land, depth and speed in the water, and sonar that lets him sweep a search area no human diver could cover.
Spotted Seal, written as Gomafuazarashi in Japanese, is the Quirk belonging to the Pro Hero Selkie. It is a Mutant-type power with medium range, introduced in Episode 32 of the anime.
Everything the Quirk does traces back to a single idea: Selkie possesses the full range of traits that define a real spotted seal, and none of them switch off when he leaves the water.
On dry ground the Quirk supplies unusual power and nimbleness for a creature built to swim. In the sea it delivers far more: heightened swimming speed, lungs that hold air for extended stretches, dives reaching as far down as fifteen hundred meters, and echolocation for navigating and scanning below the surface.
Selkie is the only holder. Known publicly as the Sea Rescue Hero, he builds his entire career around maritime operations, combining raw swimming ability with sonar to comb large stretches of water for danger. When a fight breaks out, the strength side of the Quirk lets him simply overpower villains.
The sonar has a communication use as well. He fires off high-pitched tones to relay messages to his sidekick Sirius, whose own Quirk, Good Ear, sharpens her hearing enough to receive them.
His named technique is Selkie Punch, or Serukī Panchi, a Quirk-powered strike to an opponent's face that first appeared against a Trigger smuggler.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
The seal-themed hero in My Hero Academia is Selkie, the Sea Rescue Hero, whose Spotted Seal quirk gives him the full physical traits of a real spotted seal.
Spotted Seal grants Selkie a seal's abilities: unusual strength and nimbleness on land, plus heightened swimming speed, long breath-holding, deep dives and echolocation in the water.
Selkie's sidekick is Sirius, whose Good Ear quirk sharpens her hearing enough to receive the high-pitched sonar signals Selkie uses to communicate.
Selkie's named technique is Selkie Punch, a quirk-powered strike to an opponent's face that first appeared against a Trigger smuggler.
Selkie's Spotted Seal quirk lets him dive as deep as 1,500 meters, using echolocation to navigate and scan the water around him.
