Sky Egg Arc

This is the seventh arc of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, running from Chapter 46 through Chapter 58 and adapted across Episodes 22 to 26. It follows the Team Ups Arc and precedes the School Days Arc.

Two threads braid together here. Christopher Skyline, cleared to go home to America, is honored with a spectacular send-off at the Tokyo Sky Egg, while Number 6 treats the same event as a laboratory for the Villain Factory's newest weapons. Around the edges, the police finally close in on the organization's front company, and Iwao Oguro returns from a long absence with a plan of his own.

A Christmas party ends badly when a winged creature snatches a taxi carrying schoolgirls into the sky. Christopher shields them with the aerodynamic field his Flight Quirk generates, dropping his own protection to do it and taking cuts across his body. Watching from a rooftop, Number 6 gets exactly what he wanted: proof of where the American's power stops.

Detective Naomasa Tsukauchi traces the Trigger supply chain to Onomura Pharma Corp. and assembles a raid team around Shota Aizawa, Fat Gum, and undercover officer Monika Kaniyashiki. The strike lands on the same night as the farewell show. Inside the secret laboratory the heroes find not one Bomber but a swarm, and Number 6 detonates the room and escapes clinging to a survivor's leg.

At the Sky Egg the creatures arrive in force. One blast sucks Koichi Haimawari out through the observatory glass, and a larger Bomber cripples the support tower, forcing Christopher to hold the entire dome up with his bare strength while a six-armed creature designed specifically to beat him lands explosive punch after explosive punch. Koichi, wearing a souvenir hoodie, anchors himself upside down to the roof and fires repulsion blasts to pop the thing's fists before they connect. Another Bomber kills the power and the phone signal, sealing the heroes inside until Best Jeanist organizes a way out through a hatch at the top.

The counterattack comes fast once contact is restored. Mirko and Ryukyu drop the EMP creature, Edgeshot pierces another, and Best Jeanist braces the tower with bridge cable. It is not enough. Number 6 blows a trapped Bomber against the support column and the dome begins to fall, with Christopher plummeting unconscious and Koichi diving after him. Naomasa, watching his sister die on live feed, begs All Might for help, and the answer arrives in seconds: the tower cleared away, the dome set down gently, everyone alive.

Furious, Number 6 regenerates the wreckage into two hundred miniature Bombers, which All Might erases with a single Nebraska Smash. As the villain decides to withdraw, a scope finds him. Knuckleduster has spent his absence working out exactly which rooftop his target would choose. A bird spoils the headshot, and the two collide on that roof: an explosion drops Number 6 into freefall where his speed is worthless, a shotgun ruins his legs, and beatings to the skull keep Overclock sealed. Number 6 grows Bomber cells into both arms and detonates one, and the building comes down on top of them both.

Christopher recovers in hospital as a public hero, praised on television for saving thousands, while the police quietly ask every witness to leave Koichi out of the record. Naomasa concedes that The Crawler earned recognition he can never legally receive, and settles for gratitude. Pamela arrives with their newborn, beats her husband soundly, and thanks Koichi.

Two weeks later the Marukane crowd sees the Skyline family off at the airport, where Makoto Tsukauchi reveals she is leaving too, bound for a New York university while staying on as manager. Koichi goes home with Kazuho, still fishing for the credit he will not get.

Nothing remains of the collapsed building where the last fight happened. Naomasa reports the forensic results to Eizo Tanuma: one blood sample belongs to Iwao Oguro, the retired hero O'Clock. The other comes back unreadable, DNA tangled with chemicals, leaving Eizo to ask aloud whether the thing they are hunting is human at all.
