Appearance

The most distinctive part of his costume rides on his back: the twin-jet unit that gave him his name and grants him sustained flight. A cannon sits mounted on his left forearm. White armor plating guards his elbows, knees, and forearms, all of it fitted over a bodysuit in a flat, unadorned crimson, with boots reaching to the knee in the same tone.

His headgear is the one inconsistency across publications. The main manga keeps it hidden by framing him from behind every time he appears. My Hero Academia: Vigilantes settles on a boxy design that seals off his features entirely, while Deku and Bakugo: Rising gives him a version leaving more of his face visible.

Personality

Little has been established about him beyond his professional conduct, which is uniformly earnest. He treats hero work as a serious obligation and shows up repeatedly for joint operations and large-scale fights alongside his colleagues.

One trait he has stated outright is a compulsion toward the job. Encountering a criminal and leaving them alone is not something he manages, and he once likened that itch to what he sensed in a young Katsuki Bakugo.

History

Detective Eizo Tanuma once convened Pro Heroes, Airjet among them, over civilians dosed with Trigger against their will who were arguably casualties rather than criminals. Endeavor argued that using a power in public breaks the law regardless, and that such people should be handled as villains. All Might, speaking through Naomasa Tsukauchi, replied that heroes owe the innocent a careful reading of each scene first. The room sided with him, Endeavor excepted.

He later attended the send-off held for Captain Celebrity at the Sky Egg and helped repel the Bombers when the venue came under attack. Years afterward, chasing a criminal who could dissolve into sand, he found the man reduced to slurry by a downpour and finished him with Buster Shot. A junior high student berated him for the steal, wanting the takedown himself. Airjet apologized, admitted he simply cannot walk past a villain, and guessed the boy felt the same. When a second child arrived, he waved him back and thanked the first for the assist.

His earliest appearance places him among the heroes fighting a Giant Villain. At the U.A. Sports Festival his gear draws an indirect nod when Mei Hatsume shows Izuku Midoriya a jet pack modeled on his, prompting Izuku to mention that he likes the Buster Hero and that the agency once stood in his neighborhood. He returns during the Final War at Central Hospital, where heroes and police hold the line against an army of heteromorphs fielded by the Paranormal Liberation Front.
