Bibimi Kenranzaki

Blonde hair long enough to reach her waist is never once seen loose. Bibimi locks it into a signature construction instead: two tightly wound ringlets framing either side of her face, a broad folded bun behind, and three more rolled curls beneath that. Makeup piled on without restraint stretches eyelashes that were already improbable, and dark lipstick is a fixture.

For Miss Con she competes in a kimono-style dress patterned with scales, a beaded necklace, flowers gathered at her throat, and a wide crown whose central plate is carved. The anime dresses her differently, giving her a pink kimono-sleeved gown with patterned sleeves and a cotton trim at the neck, a hairpin in the Taisho style, and pearls.

Eight years past the Final War she stands taller and carries herself with more maturity, her hair arranged in a new fashion. The kimono dress survives in dark pink, cinched by an obi of purple and blue with a red flower set on it. A coat in pale pink goes over the top, and the necklace she pairs with it is purple.

Two consecutive Miss Con victories left Bibimi convinced of her own splendor, and she says so freely. Rival contestants get condescension rather than courtesy, and the vanity extends past the makeup into pure theater, since she campaigned for the crown aboard a tank sculpted to look like her.

The bluster hides something better. She set the pageant aside entirely to calm Mei Hatsume down and then help her track a lost remote, and she proved willing to praise a rival, offering Nejire Hado congratulations once the title went to her.

Bibimi arrived at the U.A. School Festival as the reigning Miss Con champion, having taken the crown from Nejire Hado twice running. The two traded barbs before the contest, and matters got worse when Nejire's friend Yuyu Haya stepped in, until a committee member broke it up for the dress rehearsal. Afterward a nail turned up in Nejire's shoe, which Yuyu blamed on Bibimi, right as Bibimi herself appeared searching for a vanished necklace.

Mei Hatsume then turned up hunting a missing remote for one of her devices. As her senior in the Support Course, Bibimi agreed to help before the pageant began, and Tamaki Amajiki, Reiko Yanagi, Itsuka Kendo, Yuyu, and Nejire all trailed after them. Watching her drop the contest to assist a first-year made Itsuka reconsider her, and Mei noted how much the older student looks after the Support Course. The thief turned out to be a crow, and Tamaki's attempt to recover the goods brought an entire murder of them down on the group. Bibimi pulled out her glittering hairpin to draw their attention, then rolled out the machine she had prepared for the talent round, a colossal tank shaped like her own head, which blew the birds back on a wind current and netted them. The nail, it emerged, had been Mei's way of announcing herself. Nejire admired the tank and turned down Bibimi's offer to build her a support item, saying it was not her style, and Yuyu's apology was waved off with a laugh. At the show, Bibimi rode out on the tank; when Nejire was named the winner, she put out her hand.

Following the Final War, restoration work across Japan resumed at speed, and by June the delayed graduation for U.A.'s third-years finally took place. Bibimi collected her diploma alongside her year. Present Mic apologized for the wait and whipped up the crowd, and after Mawata Fuwa's farewell address, class representative Mirio Togata gave a speech about heroes fighting to drag a negative situation back to zero and about racing toward a world where people can live cheerfully. As he blasted into the air shouting to the underclassmen, Bibimi turned her giant robot loose on the cheering crowd. Lightly Labs appears to employ her later on, working beside Mei Hatsume.
