Garvey

Warts crowd the creature's back, and every one of them holds an attack he has already swallowed. The rest of him is a rounded, heavy mass of olive-green flesh balanced on hind legs that lift the bulk roughly ten meters off the pavement. Blank white circles serve for eyes. Behind him trails a short stub of a tail, the kind a frog keeps on its way out of the tadpole stage. Trigger has left the tip of his tongue discolored.

The anime pushes the amphibian read much further. Segmentation shows more clearly across the body, the limbs pick up visible muscle, the eyes bulge outward, and tan coloring covers the underside starting at his lower lip.

Nothing resembling a character surfaces in Garvey. He operates as a loose kaiju, running on raw instinct to strike at whatever stands nearby, much the way an actual toad reacts to what moves in front of it.

The rampage lands during Shota Aizawa's student years at U.A. High School, specifically while he is out on Hero Work-Studies. Loaded with the Quirk-boosting drug Trigger, Garvey turns Tasomiya Ward into panic and wreckage. The Hero group Buster Union throws itself at him alongside Aizawa's classmates Hizashi Yamada and Sensoji, and every attack they land is drunk in by his Quirk, Stock, then returned as one enormous explosion that levels the surrounding area.

He reaches the block where Aizawa is clearing civilians alongside his friend, Oboro Shirakumo. His Purple Highness, Tenma Nakaoji, steps in against him, only for the toad to release Hizashi's stolen Voice at the Hero, a reversal that catches Aizawa off guard. A borrowed Blast from Sensoji finishes the Hero off and adds more destruction to the tally. In that same moment falling debris crushes Oboro, who dies pulling children clear of it.

Rain begins as Aizawa keeps at him, wounding an eye and driving rubble into his face. Garvey moves to end it by dumping his entire stored arsenal at once, which is exactly the opening Aizawa has been fishing for. Working his Erasure Quirk together with his Capturing Weapon, he forces the stockpile back down the toad's throat, and the detonation inside knocks him out. The monster is arrested, and Aizawa learns only afterward that Oboro is gone.

Sheer bulk was a weapon by itself: buildings and houses came apart under his weight, though how much of that size came from Trigger is never established. The full truth surfaces much later, during the raid on Jaku General Hospital, when Kyudai Garaki lays it out for Hizashi: the rampage had been engineered by him and All For One. Oboro was never the intended casualty. The target had been Aizawa's Erasure Quirk.
