Himiko Toga

The face people kept calling pretty came with a permanent flush and details that were quietly wrong. Her irises were golden yellow, narrowed to slits and tilted inward like a cat's, shadowed underneath by bags. Her mouth was wide and equally feline, canines drawn to points that read as vampiric. Ash-blonde hair, pale to the point of washing out, went up in two untidy buns shedding strands everywhere, framed by a flat fringe and side bangs reaching her chin.

Her everyday clothes were a navy seifuku with a Kansai collar and doubled white trim, a red scarf knotted loosely beneath it, and an outsized beige cardigan whose hem ran long over black knee socks and brown school shoes.

Villain work layered gadgets over that uniform: a piped black mask, green knife cases on each thigh, a blue utility belt carrying more, and a loose black scarf trimmed in pale gray metal shaped into a predatory grin. Three silver canisters flanked the mask, needles feeding back to cylinders on her belt, which was the machinery she drank through. Final War upgrades brought the Vampire Neck, a scarf whose teeth detached into jet-propelled needles. Borrowing Double dressed her in a feminine cut of Twice's costume, the left half of her face left showing.

She smiled through everything, the aftermath of killing included, which made the sadism impossible to miss; only boredom or irritation ever shifted it, and not even Tomura Shigaraki looming over her could.

Underneath sat a badly broken idea of affection. Attempted murder never stopped her befriending her targets mid-fight, chirping Tsuyu Asui's first name while calling Ochaco Uraraka lovely. Wanting to resemble the person you love struck her as ordinary; she simply took resemblance to its literal end. Others kissed, she drank, and by that logic carving up bloodied, ragged men counted as chasing her type. The interest ran deeper than obsession, since she pressed Izuku Midoriya on what he actually believed, and years later his Danger Sense stayed silent as she charged him with a knife, proof the feeling held no malice. She loved the way anyone loves. Nobody ever showed her how to hold it.

Family and classmates remembered a well-mannered, sunny girl, and her own memory says that girl was a costume. Re-Destro theorized that a blood-based Quirk pulled her toward blood-based behavior, and that parents who called her rotten and inhuman only pressurized it until she broke. Standards survived anyway: Twice's death gutted her, and the rampage that followed came wrapped in a question, whether heroes who save people counted Jin as one. Taking up Tomura's creed of destroying whatever you despise, she wiped out Curious along with her followers, then told Deku and Uravity that a society which rejected her had earned rejection back.

Ochaco got through eventually. Pushed into admitting the jealousy of never being allowed to love out loud, Himiko found she could not finish her, and hearing her own smile called the cutest in the world undid her. She gave the dying hero her blood, still refusing capture but refusing harder to lose the one person who understood her, and went out held close and content. Eight years on, a vestige of Himiko visits Ochaco's dreams, nudging her toward Izuku.

She was a genuinely dangerous fighter without a single combat-enhancing power. Espionage was the specialty: holding her breath and emptying her head erased her presence entirely, dropping her out of an enemy's awareness the instant attention wavered. The rest was agility, reflexes, acrobatics and a habit of manufacturing openings by forcing opponents to dodge, with knives thrown at range or driven in close. Wearing Camie Utsushimi's face she cleared the first phase of the Provisional Hero License Exam almost incidentally; during the Shie Hassaikai Raid she put Rock Lock down, then rolled herself up in Eraser Head's own Capturing Weapon and stabbed him in the shoulder.

Transform let her wear the body and voice of anyone whose blood she had swallowed, duration scaling with volume at roughly eighteen hours per cup. Clothing copied over, though her own overlapped, which meant stripping first, and dropping a disguise melted it into gray sludge. Beaten bloody by Curious, blown up by her own siphoned blood and cornered, she Awakened: transforming now carried the target's Quirk with it. The conditions are strict, requiring genuine fascination with the person, enough information about the power, and an active transformation, while hatred dulls the copy and every use leaves her in pain afterward.

Her named moves come mostly from that Awakening: Skill Release, the Zero Gravity drop; Sad Man's Parade and its lethal variant Sad Man's Death Parade, taken from Twice's Double to bury enemies under clones; and Sad Man's Legion, an army wearing the faces of heroes and villains whose blood she gathered off the Gunga ruins. Her kit ran to combat knives, the belt-mounted blood sucking machine, capsules for storing blood, and a Nomu pheromone vial from All For One, which she baited Froppy into destroying as a diversion.
