Ichimoku Samazu

A pompadour sweeps his short black hair back, and a small moustache sits under his nose. For a middle schooler he is tall.

The look he cultivates is pure Yankii, the Japanese delinquent template: a plain black gakuran, an armlet, and shoes in matching black. Across his eyes he wears goggles fitted with mufflers on both sides and slit down the center to act as a visor, which he needs for his Quirk.

The intimidating exterior is misleading. With friends he is warm and well-mannered. He follows Kazuho Haneyama closely enough as a fan that he will pitch in with the Vigilantes when they move against people distributing Trigger.

Beams From His Eyes lets Ichimoku fire lasers at whatever he is looking at. Since the visor-style goggles keep his eyes covered at all times, whether the Quirk runs constantly has never been confirmed. His one named technique, Meganetic Blaster, is a single powerful beam.

Kohei Horikoshi built him on the Marvel mutant Cyclops. The visor and the general look point at it, the Quirk mirrors Cyclops's Optic Blast, and the names carry the joke further: Ichimoku uses the kanji for one and eye, reading as one eye or Cyclops, while Samazu is written to sound like Summers, since Cyclops is Scott Summers. His running antagonism with Jube Namimaru echoes Cyclops against Wolverine. His appearance may also nod at Josuke Higashikata of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
