Blond, well built, and without eyebrows, Jin carried a scar splitting his forehead, a souvenir of the knife fight he had with himself. Facial hair traced his mouth and the bottom of his chin. Off duty he dressed plainly: a collared blue shirt, a white tank underneath, ordinary trousers and boots.

The villain suit sealed him head to toe in black and gray, finished with gray boots. His mask split along the mouth line, gray above with white eye sockets, black below. Gray piping traced a T across his upper torso and a W down through his hips. Red wristbands ringed with thick green lines held the measuring tapes his work required.

Jin was loud, theatrical, and funny before he was anything else, fond of dramatic poses and outsized expressions. He also argued with himself constantly, insulting Dabi in one voice and praising him in the next. The contradiction was damage, not comedy. Nine days spent fighting his own clones left him unable to say whether he was the original, and the mask was what held him together. Uncovered, his personalities turned on each other and he would panic about splitting until the mask went back on.

He made clones because he had no one, and joined the League because they let his madness sit at the table. Trusting fast left him easy to wound, and Overhaul and Hawks both proved it. Facing Skeptic's fakes he decided he was real, and cloned himself without hesitation to shield Himiko Toga. Dabi and Spinner both doubted that forcing his way through had fixed anything, and relapses kept coming. He stayed loyal anyway, refused every offer the heroes made, and died content because his friends were still standing. Hawks, who killed him, said afterward that Jin was fundamentally a good man.

Double let Jin copy anything, living or not, provided he knew its exact measurements and characteristics. Copies of a person came with their own autonomy, personality, and Quirk, identical to the source, and dissolved into mud once damaged enough, each successive copy flimsier than the last. Two at a time was his ceiling, but a copy of himself could copy in turn, which broke the ceiling entirely. Sad Man's Parade ran that loop until thousands of him filled the field.

Giran rated the Quirk capable of toppling nations. Tomura Shigaraki treated it as essential to everything the League intended. Overhaul wanted him for it and so did the Meta Liberation Army, Dabi built strategies around it, and Hawks, ranked second among the pros, judged Jin the deadliest of Tomura's lieutenants and moved on him first when the Paranormal Liberation War opened. Beyond cloning he was fast and acrobatic, once evading a wave of ice thrown by Shoto Todoroki outright. His costume doubled as treatment, keeping the split personalities quiet, and the tapes in his wristbands were sharp enough to shear straight through ice.
