Jiro Hotta

Average in height and built much like his twin, Jiro has tanned skin, pale brown hair, a goatee and a mustache, sharp eyes whose pupils are small and black, and an odd little bump centered on his forehead. Set beside Ichiro, his face reads slimmer and less square, his skin a shade darker, his hair a shade deeper.

Clothing settles which brother is which. Jiro keeps the hood up on an open white hoodie, wears gray pants and white sneakers, and ties his apron, blue, underneath. Both men knot bandannas at the neck, his leaning orange, and that scarf is the only garment that survives a transformation. Trigger turns him into a humanoid grasshopper: bulk piles on, plates of insect shell armor him, and his head takes on jaws, antennae, and compound eyes, at which point he and Ichiro become impossible to tell apart. After the timeskip he waits tables at Hopper's Cafe in staff uniform.

Dealers though they are, the brothers draw a line at what the Villain Factory distributes, knowing the uppers cut into it wreck people. Their own stock is the ordinary legal formula, and they treat that as a point of pride, license or no license, crime or not.

What they cannot abide is company. Shota Aizawa treats their store as a hideout and a meeting spot with Detective Naomasa Tsukauchi, and when it is not him it is Koichi Haimawari. The brothers want everyone gone so business can proceed. Even so, they look after their own. They warned Kirihito Kamachi off the tainted Trigger, and jumped in to help Shota against Octoid without being asked. Both are Midnight fans.

Grasshopper, pushed along by Trigger, turns Jiro into a large grasshopper-man. The brothers fight as a pair. Double Hotta Kick puts both of them in the air for a flip and a tandem descending kick, while Hotta Jump sets them above an opponent to stage an attack or pull attention.

They keep samples of what they sell and inject when trouble arrives. Because the formula is the legal one, the boost falls short of the adulterated version, but it leaves their heads clear afterward.
