Kyudai Garaki

Short, portly, and completely bald, with a mustache bushy enough to swallow his mouth, Kyudai reads as elderly even at his best. The villain look pairs a buttoned white lab coat with a peculiar set of goggles shaped roughly like gears. Chairing Jaku General Hospital, he trades those for ordinary round black frames and adds a shirt and tie beneath the coat.

Life Force is doing heavy work on that face. Strip the Quirk away and the skin turns pale and heavily lined while his eyes sink back into his skull. In his younger years, around the time All For One first found him, the hair on his head was already thinning, the mustache was a modest thing, and he wore a black suit over a spotted shirt.

Deranged is not too strong a word, and neither is devoted. Kyudai executes All For One's will without argument. Like Gigantomachia, he doubted Tomura Shigaraki had earned the inheritance, but a compromise struck with his old master bought Tomura a chance to prove him wrong, and once Tomura crushed the Meta Liberation Army and brought Gigantomachia to heel, the doctor accepted him as the successor.

He is a proud father to the Nomu, calling them his children and the High-End line his masterpieces, and he presents them to All For One as offerings, permitting Tomura the use of a few at his master's wish. Secrecy governs everything else about him. He avoids meeting anyone but All For One face to face, on pain of death, and communicates through screens or a Warping Quirk instead, which protects the reputable public identity he keeps up at the hospital as a kindly man devoted to medical research.

For all the cruelty in the work, he is not empty. The friendship with All For One is genuine, thanks offered through tears for the patronage and the belief his old colleagues withheld after casting him out. He grieves his creations, mourning Johnny and Mocha and apologizing to his High-Ends when the heroes forced him to release them early. He is also a coward: the raid on his secret lab reduced him to shrieking, wildly exaggerated panic, and a plan coming together flips him just as quickly into gloating monologues about hero failure. He shares his master's faith in hatred as fuel, telling him in a recorded message that he hoped his heart would fill with it, and one look at Dabi years later told him a grudge against Endeavor was the only thing keeping that dying body tethered to the world.

Genius Intellect: Quirks are his field and few living people know them better, and the talent runs into biology and technology besides. He has duplicated countless Quirks for implantation into his Nomu, All For One itself included, which went into Nine and later served to furnish All For One with a copy of his own power while Tomura received the original. He also rebuilt Tomura's body to survive the strain that Quirk imposes, and long before that he patched All For One back together after the disastrous first bout with All Might.

His most alarming feat was reproducing the Quirk-Destroying Bullets with no access to Eri, the girl they had been made from. He worked out that they derived from a person's Quirk Factor, then reverse-engineered a variant isolating Rewind alone. All For One used that variant during the Final War to heal mortal wounds and roll himself back to his prime.

Life Force: The Quirk stretches his lifespan and keeps him looking younger than he is, by his own count more than a hundred and twenty years old, though the effect stops well short of youth and steadily erodes his mobility as a side effect. What he carries now is a duplicate rather than the original he was born with, and no one has explained what differs between them.
