Pearls the size of marbles hang at Madam's throat, and her makeup goes on with a heavy hand. Her dress is cut close to the body and finished with sharp points at the shoulders. She is small and round in build, and her black hair sits in tight curls.

Fiercely competitive and loud enough to work a crowd, Madam treats discount events as her natural habitat and drives the rest of the floor into a frenzy every time she turns up. Long experience lets her pick out a first-timer instantly, and she pounces on them, lifting whatever they want off the rack before their fingers reach it.

She admits outright that the sales are the reason she gets up in the morning. Being told she might be barred from future ones is enough to bring her to tears.

When her local department store ran a blowout sale, Madam arrived and did what she always does, sending the crowd into a fever. She read Momo Yaoyorozu as inexperienced and set her sights there, only to be outmaneuvered when both reached for the same merchandise. The arrival of Yu Takeyama raised the stakes further, and Madam swore she would not lose to her.

The scramble that followed drew in Momo, Ochaco Uraraka, and Mina Ashido, and it climaxed with Madam and another woman tearing a jacket between them, which the sale rules forbid. She tried to hide the damage, though Momo and one of the clerks caught it, and Momo simply built a replacement with her Quirk before the man could step in. He informed both women that the standard penalty was a permanent ban, then waived it, crediting Madam for how much her presence contributes to the events' success. She thanked Momo, and the shoppers plunged back into the frenzy.
