Mina Ashido

Her skin carries a soft pink cast, a side effect of the Quirk she was born with, and her hair sits a shade darker: short, fluffy, and refusing to lie flat. Two thin horns the color of pale butter rise from her head, hooked and angled away from one another. The eyes are what people remember, squarish, yellow irises floating on black sclerae, ringed below by heavy lashes. She stands at middle height and is built solidly.

Her costume, Prism Sky, pairs a camouflage bodysuit in purple and turquoise with a cropped, fur-collared waistcoat she never buttons, a plain white mask, and boots perforated at the soles so acid can run out and let her skate. The winter cut adds sleeves and a hexagonal patch bearing a purple P.

The Final War left marks. Pushing viscosity to its ceiling stretched her horns longer and straightened them, and unleashing Alma bleached the pigment down her left side while part of that eye's sclera turned white. All of it healed. By the epilogue she is taller and leaner, her hair wavier and past the shoulders.

Mina runs hot and social. She smiles by default, treats any gathering as something worth attending, and takes it badly when she is shut out of one. Clothes interest her, and so do her friends' conversations, which she joins loudly.

Dancing is where the energy concentrates. She breaks into it effortlessly, learned it as a child, and once used it in street performances. Teaching flips a switch: the happy-go-lucky front gives way to a demanding perfectionist. She has also used it to smooth over bad blood between people who cannot stand each other.

Classwork is not her strength. She laughs off her results while plainly stressed about them, which has earned her a reputation as an airhead, second only to Denki Kaminari, though tutoring proves she will put in the work when someone shows her how.

Underneath the noise is the trait that makes her hero material: she does not run. She faced down bullies in middle school and talked several around rather than fighting them. She will put herself between danger and other people, then struggle with the fear afterward, as when she lied straight to Gigantomachia's face to steer him off her classmates and dissolved into tears the moment he left. She is also relentlessly nosy about other people's romances.

Direct combat is not her background, and she compensates with reaction speed and Quirk control. Aizawa's opening assessment placed her ninth, and her reflexes outstrip every other girl in her class, quick enough to slip Yuga Aoyama's laser fire and melt fast-moving target balls out of the air during the licensing exam. Acid produces corrosive fluid from her body under her control of two dials, solubility and viscosity. Dropping the former keeps it from killing living opponents; raising the latter yields a sludge that clings to surfaces as a barrier. Her own skin resists the stuff only so long, and overproduction dehydrates her fast enough to kill, which is why training meant secreting acid continuously to toughen that resistance.

She uses it practically as well as offensively, melting handholds to climb and pushing a harmless version through her soles to slide. Yoroi Musha took notice and brought her on as an intern. Late in the war she burned through Gigantomachia's armored hide, a surface that had shrugged off nearly everything. Izuku Midoriya credits her dancing for the body control underpinning all of it.

Her techniques build outward from those two dials. Acid Veil maximizes both into a gelatinous wall that stopped hardened balls tougher than concrete. Acid Shot rains pellets across a wide area. Acid Layback dissolves the ground so she can spin and hurl objects with the momentum, which feeds the Grape-Pinky Combo Mineta Bounce. Acidman wraps her body in a humanoid shell that eats incoming attacks, and Alma throws that shell at an enemy.
