Momo Yaoyorozu

Height and a mature, full figure set Momo apart in Class 1-A; at 173 centimeters she is the tallest girl in the room. Her black hair usually gathers into a spiky ponytail that loosens into soft waves at the ends, with one thick strand left along the right of her face, and her big onyx eyes sit under short brows set in something determined. On campus she wears the standard female U.A. uniform, a gray jacket with teal stripes and gold buttons over a white shirt, red tie, and pleated teal skirt, with knee-high black socks and brown dress shoes.

Her hero outfit is a sleeveless crimson leotard with a high collar and white lines at the waist and arms, cut open from throat to just above the navel because Creation only works where skin is bare. Calf-length red boots dip sharply at the front, two beige utility belts ride her hips with her composition reference books at the back, and a thinner strap crosses her chest below the shoulders. Winter adds a long red cape clasped by a ring and a large red stone. Eight years later she is taller, the ponytail shorter and smoother with two heavy bangs framing her face, and the costume rebuilt so the leotard covers her front entirely while her back is left open, the belts now white with black accents and white communication headphones added.

Careful, committed, and a leader by instinct, Momo keeps her head when things turn dangerous, though panic can still find her. She is warm and well-mannered, on the reserved side, and perfectly willing to tell a classmate where their reasoning failed, because she wants them good enough to become real Heroes; the study sessions she hosts at home are the natural expression of that. Her wealthy upbringing left her courteous and quietly appalled by rudeness. Losing most of her costume mid-fight barely registers, since she can simply build a replacement, and she would have exposed more skin still if regulations allowed it. Onlookers read that as exhibitionism when the truth runs the other way: she is unusually innocent, rattled by crude behavior, and regularly exasperated by Minoru Mineta's advances and Katsuki Bakugo's mouth.

Her self-assurance did not survive the U.A. Sports Festival intact. A fast defeat at Fumikage Tokoyami's hands, plus constant comparison against Shoto Todoroki, the other recommended student, left her doubting she could think on her feet, and Uwabami's hollow internship made it worse. The Snake Hero had picked her and Itsuka Kendo for their looks, treated them as assistants, and pulled them into a commercial shoot, while Momo strained to extract some deeper lesson until Itsuka named the denial for what it was.

Shoto's encouragement during their Final Exam bout against Shota Aizawa restored her nerve, teaching her that different skill sets can cover for one another; worn down and trapped, she found fresh resolve, more Quirk output, and the win. She admits during the Joint Training Battle that the comparisons still gnaw at her, but she no longer lets them dictate her performance. Excitement makes her bright and eager, especially around friends, and in those moments she lets slip how rich her family is, though nobody reads it as bragging so much as rambling. Despite her poise she gets dragged into nonsense like cheerleading, rarely with much enthusiasm, and like Shoto she can take a figure of speech at face value.

Overall Abilities: The recommendation was earned. Momo took first place across all eight events of the Quirk Apprehension Test, remarkable in a class where nearly everyone posted at least one superhuman mark. She held her own for a stretch against Fumikage at the Sports Festival and again against Itsuka in the Joint Training Battle, losing both. On Nabu Island she and Yuga Aoyama formed the opening defense against Nine, Slice, and Chimera, Yuga at full Navel Laser output and Momo building a pair of large cannons to blast the trio apart, before Nine's Air Wall shrugged off their exhausted follow-up. Majestic later took her on as an intern beside Class 1-B's Setsuna Tokage, sharpening her prediction and her efficiency. Her weapon of choice is the bō staff, and her skill with it cleared crowds of villains at the U.S.J. and again during Mission: Humarise.

Genius Intellect: Rated S-class in intelligence, Momo builds plans mid-crisis and runs them on the flexibility of her Quirk, which demands she understand the molecular makeup of whatever she makes, no small task even for simple materials. She finished first in the class midterms and is considered the perfect tutor; after her study sessions, none of the struggling students failed the written Final Exam. Rather than raw force she supplies support and misdirection, which is how she and Shoto beat Eraser Head: she worked out that the U.S.J. Nomu's injury had shortened his Erasure window and struck inside the gap. Overpowered by Itsuka in close quarters, she still bluffed with a point-blank cannon, spun it aside, and fired her Lucky Bag over the wall of letters to her teammates, then tied herself to Itsuka before blacking out. Her plan during the Paranormal Liberation War, run with both first-year classes, stalled Gigantomachia long enough to deliver anesthetic into his mouth, which set up his eventual fall. Itsuka prioritized separating her from her team for a reason, and it was Momo who rallied both Hero Course classes against that giant despite her own fear. Etiquette training in childhood also left her able to play piano and other keyboard instruments.

Creation (創造, Sōzō): Momo converts the molecular structure of her fat cells into any non-living material or object, which emerges from bare skin, provided she knows how the thing is built. Eating supplies the raw material, so she needs a serious intake for the Quirk to work; larger or more intricate builds take longer and demand more exposed skin, occasionally bursting through her costume, which she repairs with ease. Constantly burning fat likely explains her figure, and overspending without replacing the calories leaves her weak and anemic, so her training involved eating heavily while creating, to raise output and cut build times. Her named techniques are Yaoyorozu's Lucky Bag, a large cannon that launches a sack of anything she can produce, and the Electromagnetic Rail Gun, a giant railgun that Denki Kaminari powers with Electrification to fire a projectile at enormous speed.
