A tail trails behind him, and his scales run turquoise in the manga, recolored green for the anime. His skull is drawn as a long oval, and the toothy mouth cuts clear across its full width. Two small nostrils stand in for a nose, above which sit oversized reptile eyes. His wardrobe stays casual: a hooded jacket worn over a waistcoat, plus plain shorts.

Taking Trigger pushes the reptile further and sprouts wings on his back.

He started out a bully, much like Soga, someone who found other people's humiliation funny and was usually the first in his group to laugh. That streak never erased a genuine loyalty to his friends, whom he helps readily and teases constantly, and he has a joking streak of his own.

He also learns from what goes wrong. A hospital stay after a dose of Trigger convinced him to leave the drug alone, however good the experience had felt at the time.

Lizard appears to be a mutant-type power built on reptile traits, and how far it actually reaches has never been spelled out.

With Trigger in his system, his body leans harder into the reptile and grows pterosaur-style wings that carry him into the air.
