Rumi Usagiyama

Two long white rabbit ears rise above Rumi's head and a small round tail sits behind her, courtesy of her Quirk, giving her the look of an albino hare. Straight white hair falls to her thighs, bangs parted a little to the right. Her eyes are red and narrow under long lashes, and her dark skin covers a frame that is slender and curved yet plainly athletic, the definition concentrated in her limbs.

Her costume centers on a sleeveless white leotard trimmed in dark purple, a broad yellow crescent across the chest, and one heavy metal band at her midriff. Purple boots climb to her thighs with plating that shapes her feet into something rabbit-like, and her thick white gloves carry small triangular spurs.

Injury has rewritten her steadily. A High-End crushed part of her left forearm and wounded her right shin at Jaku General Hospital, and the tip of one ear was cut away. She left the war with an interchangeable prosthetic arm and leg, scars beneath her left eye and on her thigh, and hair cropped to her jaw. The Final War then took her right forearm. Eight years on, three orange rings connect a prosthetic tip to her right ear, and both mechanical arms bristle with guns and cannons.

Rumi says exactly what she thinks and respects people who answer in kind. Teams strike her as a crutch, a way to lean on somebody else's power instead of your own, so she roams Japan alone and takes on whatever villain crosses her path. Middle school found her sneaking into fight clubs and brawling until she was expelled, and the same pull carried her into the Underground Masquerade in high school, where she refused payment because she meant to make her name on her own terms, and where her insistence on seeing a fight through won O'Clock's respect.

The solo stance is not the whole of her. She threw herself at Hood after catching Endeavor and Hawks on the news, once called Endeavor in for help herself, and joined the squad assigned to Tomura during the Final War, where her aggression collided with Katsuki Bakugo's. She meets lethal danger with a grin and answers being outclassed by claiming she is only warming up. Her devotion moved Endeavor to vow he would finish her work once she could no longer stand.

Pain does not scatter her focus. With her left arm gone she tied off her own bloodstream using her thick hair and kept fighting, and offered the choice between rehabilitation and amputation she took the knife without hesitating so she could reach the Final War. She insists she lives each day as though there is no next one, so that whenever her time comes she will have nothing to regret.

Ranked No. 5 at her peak, Rumi outclasses nearly all of her colleagues. Her hearing borders on absurd, pinpointing a target from the faintest sound, and she attacks, evades, and reasons about her enemies at once. Her Quirk, Rabbit, loads her with the animal's traits: leg strength enough to leap and kick ground apart with a thump, ears that catch almost everything, and instincts that warn her before danger arrives.

Those instincts read the danger in Tomura even while he lay medically dead. At Jaku she smashed through the gate sealing Kyudai Garaki's hidden laboratory, reached it within minutes despite the Nomu in her way, then held off several High-Ends alone, disabling some and tearing the head off one. Once they stabilized she could no longer land a blow and expected to die, choosing instead to drag the Doctor down with her. Years later, handicapped by those injuries, she still joined the team supporting Izuku Midoriya against Tomura, staggering the villain and drawing blood before his final form swatted her aside.

Her Quirk pushes her toward hand-to-hand work, with kicks at the core of a style built on speed and momentum gathered by bounding point to point. Her named techniques all invoke the moon. Luna Ring cartwheels her through the air with legs extended to strike several targets at once, Luna Fall drives an opponent into the ground from above, Luna Tijeras clamps her legs around a head and twists until it tears free, Luna Arc lands a front-facing axe kick, and Luna Rush buries a target under a flurry of kicks. Her prosthetics double as armament, from the palm laser fired during the Gollini Invasion to the multi-barrel gun that replaced it.
