Appearance

Two lower canines jut from Sekijiro's wide mouth and stay visible even when he shuts it. He is enormous, broad through the frame and heavily built, his skin lightly tanned and scarred in places: a few marks on the left cheek, more down the left of a notably thick neck. His pale gray hair is cropped and driven upward away from his face, with a single clump breaking ranks to fall across the left side of his forehead, and his eyes are thin slits by comparison.

For work he wears a dark red bodysuit cut with a deep U-shaped collar that leaves the center of his chest bare, bordered in thick black trim shaped like a Y and echoed across the shoulders. White boots climb past his knees, heavy vambraces cover his forearms, and a thin wire leaves one of two small nubs on the left guard to trail back to his neck. Red gloves, a segmented metal belt that sags at the center in three pieces, and an orange mask across the eyes round it out.

Personality

The gruffness is a surface. Underneath it Sekijiro is deeply invested in his students, quick to put himself between them and danger and constant in pushing them toward their ceiling. Class 1-A registers to him as the competition, useful mostly as a benchmark he can wave at his own kids to make them work harder, though he wants those students to grow and stay safe too. His impartiality collapses entirely when 1-B is on the field: his running commentary through the Joint Training Battle was a one-sided affair, and comically so.

He belonged to the small circle who knew what All Might really looked like. Once that truth went public and crime climbed in its wake, he found himself wishing he had shouldered more of the load while the Symbol of Peace still stood. Concern extends to his colleagues as well. He spoke up for Shota Aizawa during a televised session with the press, and he counts Ryo Inui among his oldest friends, one of the few people able to make sense of him. Threats snap him into motion immediately, usually with his Quirk deployed to pin whoever is causing them.

Official material fills him in as a hot-blooded sort who takes visible pride in his physique and lets his temper flare over trivia. He likes tomatoes and cheese, keeps a dog, and unlike Aizawa actually enjoys the company of his class. Drinking with the other teachers turns him maudlin, at which point he starts tearing up and announcing how much he admires the kids in his class and the families behind them.

Abilities

Raw power sits well above human baseline. Sekijiro hoisted one of Dabi's doubles one-handed and drove it into a wall hard enough to fracture the surface. His reflexes match: he cleared his students out of the path of a surprise strike from Dabi and had the villain pinned against a wall inside three seconds.

Blood Control gives him command of his own blood the moment it leaves him, and he can harden what he has spilled, which turns it into a cage for whoever he is fighting. The Quirk also seems to insulate him from blood loss that would kill an ordinary person outright. A Blood Ejecting Glove supports the whole approach, a gauntlet built to pump out large volumes of his blood and draw them back in again, keeping him effective in the close-quarters brawls he prefers.
