Selkie

Selkie stands just shy of two meters and carries the muscle to match, but the body belongs to a spotted seal walking upright. A gray beard hangs from his chin, red markings ring his eyes, whiskers sprout from his face, and webbing joins his fingers.

His costume is a navy wetsuit covering him head to toe, accented in silver, worn with the zipper drawn down far enough to leave his chest open. Yellow goggles sit at his eyes, flippers that retract when he leaves the water attach at his feet, and a stylized S marks the left shoulder.

Assurance, warmth, and professionalism define him, and the two things he puts first are the job and the safety of the crew under him. Alongside that runs a streak of vanity: for all his bulk, he makes a habit of posing to look cute, and he is good enough at it to succeed, which his sidekicks find exhausting. None of it dulls him when a situation turns serious, at which point he becomes hard and unsparing.

Spotted Seal hands Selkie the traits of the animal it names. He holds his breath for extended stretches, descends to roughly fifteen hundred meters below the surface, and reads his surroundings by echolocation when the water is black or when a fight has taken his vision away. Strength beyond the human range comes with it, and he swims as well as the Quirk implies.

He is also fluent in Morse code, and pairs it with his Quirk to relay coded messages to Sirius. His named technique, Selkie Punch, is exactly what it sounds like, a strike thrown with a seal's full power. His retractable flippers fold back behind his legs the moment he leaves the water, keeping him mobile on deck as captain of the Oki Mariner.
