Stanleyk

Appearance

Dull yellow buttons run up a purple vest. Under it sits a black shirt, sleeves pushed back, and hair shows on his arms and across his chest alike. Deep creases mark the face. His crown is bare, though curly dark brown growth survives at the sides, echoed in heavy eyebrows. He is short, thickset and well into middle age.

Personality

Otheon's criminal circuit runs through his bar and none of it troubles him. Business serving villains draws no objection, and dropping ugly errands on a local street rat costs him no sleep, though payment does follow, on terms that rarely favour the runner.

Trust between him and Rody is real but rough. Caught having his bicycle taken, his outrage lasted only until Rody noted the thing had been stolen to begin with. A kinder streak surfaces anyway: when a staff member quit, he handed Rody the vacancy, which meant honest wages, enough to feed the boy and his younger siblings.

History

Rody comes looking for work and pays a small fee for the tip. A package waits on East Third Street, bound for a Chinese restaurant. Asked about the rate, Stanleyk only chuckles, since the boy cannot haggle and can take the usual money cheerfully. Pino protests, Rody agrees anyway, then rides off on the bar owner's bicycle out of spite, shouting back that the machine was stolen and will reach its rightful owner once the job ends.

Everything collapses. Rody collects the case, jewellery lifted by two villains, and loses it when three visiting hero students from Japan blunder into events. A highway pileup leaves him holding a different case entirely, this one wanted by Humarise, and after Izuku is listed as a suspected mass killer, Rody is tagged the accomplice. Both run.

A later phone call goes badly. Rody asks him to warn Roro and Lala that he will be away, offering to settle up afterwards, but a complaint about the undelivered package has already reached the bar. Stanleyk refuses to listen, demands the goods and hangs up. Once Humarise is finished, Rody returns wanting something steadier and respectable. A bartender had just quit, so Stanleyk puts him behind the counter, and Pino celebrates.

His value is contacts, not power. Informing for villains around the Shanty Town keeps him current on the local underworld. Even the bicycle outside was stolen property.
