Heroes seal the villa's northern, southeastern, and western exits, leaving only the entrance, and Re-Destro's Stress climbs as the news reaches the underground hall. Outside, Edgeshot folds himself into Thousand Sheet Pierce and punctures Amplivolt's lungs along with a row of soldiers before Amplivolt can overload Chargebolt. Midnight puts more of them under, Kamui Woods snares others in Lacquered Chain Prison, and the pair of Mudman and Shemage bogs down and mushrooms the rest, earning praise from Gang Orca.

Inside, Hawks pins Twice with his feathers and admits everything: the coded reports, the destroyed listening devices, the numerical assault designed to deny Twice room to copy. He offers atonement and a fresh start, calling him unlucky rather than evil. Twice breaks instead, remembering Overhaul, Magne's death, and the arm Mr. Compress lost, all because he once vouched for someone. He fires up Sad Man's Parade, and Hawks mows the copies down as they thin with each generation. Concluding that a man who will not stop is the most lethal thing a hero can face, Hawks makes the only call left and cuts him open.

Elsewhere, Suneater clears a corridor with Chimera Centaur, and Tsukuyomi drives Ragnarök down the shaft, breaking Re-Destro's prosthetic leg and hurling him into the assembly hall before the passage collapses. Dark Shadow senses Gigantomachia and panics; Fat Gum reassures him the beast only stirs for a sleeping master. Back at the balcony, Dabi arrives, stamps on Hawks' head, tells Twice he did nothing wrong, and reveals he never trusted the Winged Hero for a moment. Twice's last Doubles buy him an escape. Hawks uses the flames as cover, loops outside, and skewers the real Jin through the back. A final Double reaches Himiko and Mr. Compress in time to kill their captor, then dissolves in Himiko's arms, apologizing and returning her handkerchief while insisting he was happy.

Edgeshot's Thousand Sheet Pierce and coordinated work from Midnight, Kamui Woods, Mudman, and Shemage break the villa's outer defense.

Hawks confirms his betrayal to Twice, offers him a path out, and kills him when he refuses, ending the League's most strategically dangerous member.

Tsukuyomi's Ragnarök seals the underground passage and knocks Re-Destro out of the fight despite his Stress: 100% form.

Dabi ambushes Hawks, revealing he suspected him from the beginning, and Hawks' burnt wings leave him badly matched against fire in an enclosed space.

A surviving Double saves Himiko and Mr. Compress before crumbling, having exposed Hawks' deception to them.

Small alterations mark the adaptation. A beat of Skeptic reacting to his ruined surveillance is added, the panel of Hawks producing what looked like a recording device during the surrender attempt is dropped, and Dabi's approach toward the room is cut, which delays his verdict on hero culpability until he has already arrived.
