Episode 162

The planet watches the broadcast of All Might's apparent execution, half distracted, half frozen, while All For One giddily begins splitting the man's torso and the old stomach wound tears wider. Storm winds rise over the battlefield, and weather patterns warp worldwide from the fighting in Japan, right as the whole event is about to be turned by a single person. Deku and the newly revived Dynamight trade one look and move. Dynamight drops away from the falling U.A. structure, Deku swings out with his left arm while Blackwhip still holds Tomura, and their hands lock. The Second User warns against Gearshift here, given the recoil and his own advice to save it for a clear path to victory, then sees All Might's half-solidified vestige and holds his tongue. Deku applies Second Gear, Dynamight loads Cluster explosions, and a reversed Explode-A-Pult flings him across the ruins on Explosive Speed: Cluster. Tomura sneers that the vestige is setting, the death is fixed, and the dream dies with the man.

As with Sir Nighteye's foresight of Deku's death, enough people wish hard enough for another outcome. Dynamight tears All For One's arms off, plucks All Might out of the fire, and the vestige returns to gold. All Might hallucinates his old sidekick again, asking whether this was the death he was promised; the vision answers that fate twisted, that the dream of being a symbol ended but the man himself does not, because heroes are also human and do not get to die that conveniently. The pair tumble onto a rooftop, and Edgeshot, reduced to a head on a frayed thread, unspools from the suture in Dynamight's chest. He forced out the internal bleeding, stitched every broken bone and ruptured organ in the Hidden Hakamada Style, and insists all he did was patch a patient: the boy restarted his own heart when explosive sweat beaded through his blood at the limit. All Might hands over the last piece of the armor, "Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight", now useful only as a splint, and its namesake smiles at him for real.

All For One regrows his arms and turns back toward Tomura, furious that flexible planning keeps losing to insignificant heroes. Dynamight catches him, grips his head, and blasts him into the street, announcing that he is the final boss and here to finish what One For All started. Reports finally trend the heroes' way: Spinner arrested, Central Hospital's riot contained, the Near High-Ends disabled on Okuto Island, Kunieda beaten, Skeptic in custody, civilians evacuated to Shiketsu, Jaku pacified, though Takoba still struggles against Gashly Eijiju and Kurogiri, Eraser Head, and Present Mic remain missing. Tomura shrugs out of Blackwhip and promises to kill Dynamight again as often as needed, while Deku, with Danger Sense gone and no answer yet for Super Regeneration or Decay, fires up Transmission anyway. Dynamight times his blasts to the pain of his own circulation, keeps pace despite bleeding out, and wonders why catching up to Izuku suddenly feels possible. Watching from Shiketsu, Masaru cannot bear to look; Mitsuki tells him to look anyway, because their son is still grinning. As the explosions escalate, All For One's mind buckles: the hatred pouring off this boy he dismissed dwarfs what All Might inspires, and it drags him back to Kudo, the soldier who told him Yoichi was gone and never coming back. Screaming that it is all Kudo's fault, he gets corrected on the name: Kacchan Bakugo.

Deku uses Gearshift on Dynamight and launches him with a reversed Explode-A-Pult, and Dynamight rescues All Might from All For One's grip, concluding the finale of All Might vs. All For One.

Edgeshot emerges alive from Dynamight's chest, revealing that the boy's own explosive sweat restarted his heart during the emergency surgery, and All Might gives him the last armor piece as a splint.

Dynamight vs. All For One begins, with the villain mistaking his opponent for the Second User, Toshitsugu Kudo, as his composure collapses.

The third episode of season eight adapts chapters 404 through 406, airing in Japan on October 18, 2025, and in English on November 1. THE REVO opens, I closes.

Many sequences are extended: worldwide reactions to the presumed execution, the rescue setup preceded by Meryl's line about one person changing the world, the battle status reports, Dynamight's explanation of what Explosion does to his circulatory and nervous systems, and All For One's Kudo flashbacks. Added material includes the "winning by saving, saving by winning" recollection after the rescue, Spinner being walked out of Central Hospital, and Sugarman and Cellophane joining the Takoba charge.

All For One does not tear his cheeks open while screaming here, so the wound instead occurs in the following episode when he activates Omni-Factor Unleash. Skeptic is mistakenly drawn during his transport in the outfit he wore before the war, missing the pale turtleneck and the white striping, and animator Kamille Areopagita revealed that one hero in the Troy aftermath was an original character she designed eight years earlier.
