Ordinary lessons resume at U.A. and Izuku Midoriya finds himself recognized by strangers on the train. Tenya Ida hurries him along at the gate and brushes off a question about his brother, insisting nothing is wrong. The classroom chatter about newfound public attention dies the moment Shota Aizawa walks in with his bandages gone. He announces a Hero Informatics period, which sets off a brief panic about a surprise test, then reveals the real assignment: everyone is picking a code name.

The exercise ties directly into the professional draft. Since none of them have graduated yet, an agency can rescind its interest at any point. The results put Shoto Todoroki and Katsuki Bakugo thousands of nominations ahead of everyone else, which leaves Denki Kaminari deflated over the gap. Kyoka Jiro notes that Shoto drew the most interest despite losing his match, and Momo Yaoyorozu congratulates him, though he credits his father rather than himself. Hanta Sero suspects the pros hesitated over Katsuki's behavior at the awards ceremony; Katsuki decides anyone he scared off was weak anyway. Ochaco Uraraka is thrilled that she and Tenya were picked, while Minoru Mineta points out that Izuku's reckless fight against Shoto earned him nothing. Aizawa settles it: offers or not, the entire class spends a week interning.

Midnight arrives to claim final approval over the names, hands out canvases, and starts calling students up. Yuga Aoyama volunteers first with a phrase she trims down to Can't Stop Twinkling. Mina Ashido's attempt to borrow the Alien Queen is rejected outright for the comparison it invites. Tsuyu Asui restores the room's confidence with Rainy Season Hero: Froppy, and Eijiro Kirishima honors his idol Crimson Riot by becoming Sturdy Hero: Red Riot, which sends Izuku back to the parade of All Might inspired titles he invented as a child. Kyoka teases Denki with a suggestion that turns out to be an insult, then presents Hearing Hero: Earphone Jack. Approvals follow quickly: Tentacole for Mezo Shoji, Cellophane for Hanta, Tailman for Mashirao Ojiro, Sugarman for Rikido Sato, Pinky for Mina's second try, Chargebolt for Denki, Invisible Girl for Toru Hagakure, Creati for Momo, Tsukuyomi for Fumikage Tokoyami, Grape Juice for Minoru, and Anima for Koji Koda. Shoto simply uses his given name. Katsuki's King Explosion Murder is turned down as too violent, and his revised Lord Explosion Murder fares no better. Ochaco lands on Uravity.

Tenya stalls, remembering a hospital visit where Tensei Ida explained that he is paralyzed and wanted the Ingenium name handed down. Against his brother's wishes, Tenya writes his own. Izuku surprises the room with Deku, explaining that Ochaco taught him the nickname he once hated could mean something else entirely.

In the staff room, Cementoss mentions that an offer has arrived for Izuku after all, and All Might is stunned by the name attached to it. Aizawa explains the logistics: students with nominations choose among them, everyone else works from a list of roughly forty agencies. Midnight advises picking whichever office matches their ambitions. Scanning his own pile, Shoto finds his father's agency among the offers.

Lunch turns into a survey of choices. Minoru admits he selected Mt. Lady's office, and Tsuyu diagnoses the reason without effort. Mashirao finds it strange that Mina drew no offers after she reached the finals' second round. Ochaco has committed to the Battle Hero: Gunhead, wanting raw strength and a perspective outside rescue work, while Izuku mutters through his own decision and does isometric training by hovering slightly off his seat. Katsuki bristles the moment the conversation drifts toward Izuku.

Once classes let out, All Might pulls Izuku aside to reveal the offer came from Gran Torino, his own former homeroom teacher, a man already in on the secret of One For All. The news thrills Izuku; All Might looks terrified. Aizawa separately notices that Tenya passed over stronger agencies for a lesser-known hero in Hosu City. Walking home with Ochaco, Izuku recalls the news about Ingenium being taken down by the Hero Killer: Stain. When the internships begin and costumes are distributed, he and Ochaco urge Tenya to lean on them if he ever feels helpless. He agrees warmly, turns away, and the smile becomes a glare. Izuku, meanwhile, arrives at Gran Torino's house to find the old man sprawled on the floor playing dead.

The thirteenth installment of the second season adapts chapter 45 and the opening pages of chapter 46, running under the opening theme Peace Sign and closing with That's Why I'm Not Alone. It marks the transition out of the Sports Festival and into the Vs. Hero Killer storyline.

The broadcast folds in a bonus from the sixth volume by showing Present Mic handing Aizawa his own hero name. Midnight writes Yuga's corrected title on his board rather than only announcing the fix aloud, and she now comments on every student's presentation instead of a chosen few. Izuku's memories of his childhood naming habits gain a new scene of him running through the list with his mother, and the exchange between Kyoka and Denki over his name runs slightly longer.

A few smaller beats shift. Rikido presents his name straightforwardly instead of accusing Mashirao of copying him. All Might's mention that Izuku's costume has been repaired is dropped. Mina gets an embarrassed apology after Eraser Head calls out her informal speech, and information about Stain is seeded earlier than it was in print.
