Summary

Still crying at having his dream taken seriously by the man he idolizes, Izuku Midoriya listens to an offer he cannot parse. All Might judges him worthy of inheriting his strength and intends to hand over his Quirk outright. The confusion clears once the hero explains that this particular power transfers between people, that it carries the name One For All, and that Izuku has been picked as the next in line. Asked why, All Might answers that the choice costs him nothing and that when the Sludge Villain had Katsuki Bakugo in its grip, one boy outshone every so-called hero standing around watching. Izuku accepts on the spot.

The training begins immediately, aimed at building a body capable of holding the power without breaking. All Might assigns him the Takoba Seaside Bay, buried under years of dumped trash, and hands him a punishing schedule to follow across the ten months remaining before the U.A. entrance exam. Izuku pushes past the plan, and All Might catches it and scolds him, warning that overwork will undo the very thing they are building. Izuku's reason is simple: he wants to thrive at U.A. and stand where his mentor stands. It gives All Might a brief look at how deep the boy's conviction actually runs.

By exam day the beach is clean and Izuku's frame has been rebuilt into something lean and muscular, a vessel his mentor finally calls worthy. All Might plucks out a strand of his own hair and tells him to eat it, brushing past the confusion by noting that the method of taking in his DNA hardly matters. With the exam only hours away, the inheritance has to happen now.

Key Events

Izuku reaches U.A. in time and immediately trips at the entrance, only to be caught in midair by a girl's Quirk. Ochaco Uraraka wishes him luck and walks off, leaving him too stunned to reply, amazed mostly that a conversation with a girl happened at all.

Inside, Present Mic lays out the format: a practical test followed by a written one. The practical scores candidates on how many villains they can take down, though the villains in question are machines. Izuku finds his assigned battle center and resolves to spend every ounce of what ten months under All Might bought him.

Notes

The third entry adapts chapter 2 and the first ten pages of chapter 3, closing the setup phase of the Entrance Exam storyline. It runs under the opening theme THE DAY and ends with HEROES.

The broadcast adds a talk show scene to illustrate how All Might deflects questions about his Quirk, and shows Izuku stumbling and recovering during the tire drag while his mentor shouts encouragement. The classroom scene where he mumbles about pushing his regimen harder runs longer, and his teacher's reaction is softened: instead of a chop to the head and mockery about his odds, the man simply tells him he will never reach U.A. while daydreaming through lessons. Izuku's vomiting during the montage is hidden behind a shipping drum rather than shown outright.

Two structural changes stand out. The introductions for Endeavor and Best Jeanist are held back to the following entry. In Present Mic's rundown of the point system, the manga's parade of Super Mario Bros. enemies is swapped for robots, and Mario himself is replaced by Present Mic in a top-down video game.
