Episode 63

Shota presents the Big 3: Nejire Hado, Mirio Togata, and Tamaki Amajiki, whom much of Class 1-A knows as the school's strongest. Izuku places Mirio as the face from the trash run and recalls him competing in the previous Sports Festival, though none of the three placed well there.

Tamaki goes first and appears to glare menacingly. He is in fact painfully shy and attempting to picture the class as potatoes, an effort undone by the bodies still attached. He turns around and says he wants to go home. Nejire introduces herself and him, states that the group is here to discuss hero work studies, then derails into rapid-fire questions the underclassmen are never given time to answer. The class finds her endearing; Shota does not.

Mirio breaks in with a joke nobody understands, leaving Class 1-A wondering why the school's elite are so strange, and proposes that the fastest lesson is a training match against him. At Gym Gamma, the whole class minus Shoto and Katsuki faces him together. Tamaki objects that words would do. Nejire mentions a student who nearly abandoned heroics over an accumulation of problems. Fumikage and Eijiro insist they need no handicap, having faced professionals and villains, and Izuku steps up when Mirio calls for a volunteer.

The close-combat group moves to encircle him and his clothes drop off his body. Izuku's kicks pass through him. An ambush finds him suddenly behind everyone, and as the students theorize about warping he goes after the long-range fighters. Tamaki notes that the Quirk is not the enviable part; the skill is, built through training with a certain professional. More than half the class is unconscious in short order. Watching from the sideline, Shoto is told by Shota that Mirio is the closest thing to a number one hero, professionals included, and answers that he is not fighting because he has no provisional license.

Izuku rallies the survivors, correctly predicts that Mirio will surface behind them, and lands a kick to the head, which passes straight through before Blinder Touch Eyeball Crush ends him. The rest follow, and Tamaki suggests restraint.

Mirio apologizes for the nudity and asks what they learned. The consensus is nothing except a beating. Told his Quirk is absurd, he lets Nejire explain Permeation: running it through his entire body lets him pass through anything, floors included, and switching it off mid-fall launches him back out of the ground. He rejects the praise. The Quirk is strong because he made it so. While it is active every sense fails him, since everything passes through him too, a handicap that kept him behind his classmates for years and forced him to fight with prediction and thought instead. Those instincts came from work studies alongside professionals, which is why he fought them at all. On a work study, students are treated as sidekicks rather than visitors and can land in genuinely wild situations, and he urges the first-years to go anyway, fear included.

The class applauds and grasps what the program could do for them, while Shoto worries about being left behind. Shota has them thank the Big 3. Asked afterward by Nejire whether anyone stood out, Mirio says Izuku would suit a hero he knows as Sir.

At Heights Alliance, Katsuki is still under house arrest collecting everyone's trash. The girls talk about waiting on Shota to arrange their placements. Izuku calls Gran Torino, who turns him down because he is working with the police to trace the League of Villains. Elsewhere, Bubble Girl brings Sir Nighteye word that the League has been approached by Overhaul, whom Twice is escorting to the meeting. Heroes were moving to protect a shifting society; villains were moving to drown it in chaos.

The Big 3 are introduced to Class 1-A, with Mirio Togata singled out as the student closest to the number one spot.

Mirio defeats nearly all of Class 1-A single-handedly, debuting Blinder Touch Eyeball Crush against Izuku.

Permeation is explained: total activation lets Mirio pass through anything but strips him of every sense, a handicap he overcame through experience gained on work studies.

Gran Torino declines Izuku's work study request, and Sir Nighteye learns of Overhaul's approach to the League of Villains.

Adapting chapters 123 and 124, this closes the third season as its twenty-fifth entry, set inside the Shie Hassaikai Arc.

The adaptation lengthens Katsuki's trash collection, the closing scene shared by Sir Nighteye and Bubble Girl, and the League's meeting with Overhaul.

New material includes extra reactions to the Big 3's introduction, additional beats in the fight, Tamaki telling Nejire that the Quirk is Mirio's to explain, further student responses to the work study speech including Shoto resolving to earn his license, Izuku breaking down Mirio's Quirk and skill, and Izuku weighing the placement alone in his room ahead of the call to Gran Torino. A scene of Nejire wondering what the point of their visit was, with Tamaki grateful that Mirio handled everything, is also added.
