Relief for License Trainees

The Masegaki children open with a barrage of Quirks, and Present Mic marvels that nobody his age had that kind of firepower. Seiji Shishikura offers a theory: as generations intermix, abilities compound into forms too complex for their owners to handle, the doomsday scenario known as the Quirk Singularity. Komari Ikoma moves to intervene and Present Mic stops her, since this round belongs to the students. Gang Orca likewise waves off his other trainees, betting the four in the gym will fire the class up.

None of the attacks land. Katsuki, Shoto, and Inasa deflect everything without a scratch, unsettling children who expected fear, until the quiet, clever ringleader talks them into a second wave. A girl hits Shoto with Queen Beam and finds herself smitten, except the Shoto she charmed is an illusion Camie spun with Glamour, and Katsuki laughs hard enough to mimic it. The ringleader starts to sweat, unable to square defeat with his conviction that he and his classmates deserve the power the adults are wasting.

Inasa calls the plan. Shoto builds an ice slide out of the projectiles thrown at them, Inasa lifts the children up it with Whirlwind, and Camie floods the gym with an aurora. The point is not to beat the class but to widen it, to look cool without making anyone feel small, and it works. Katsuki drags the ringleader in personally, telling him that looking down on people blinds you to your own weaknesses, and Inasa, impressed, lifts the boy onto the slide. Komari can barely contain herself, and Present Mic hands the class back to her. Watching Shoto laugh, All Might tells Endeavor that why a man becomes strong is a simple matter, and that he already knows the answer.

Gang Orca passes them despite the vagueness of his instructions. Outside, they find the teachers discussing a new partnership pairing U.A. with Shiketsu High School against the League of Villains. Endeavor tells Shoto how much he has changed, is shrugged off when he reaches out, and says anyway that he is proud and intends to become the kind of hero his son might respect, earning a noncommittal reply. Seeing the hatred gone from the man's eyes, Inasa slugs his own face to work up the nerve and offers his support.

October arrives. The work-study students attend Sir Nighteye's funeral with All Might, Aizawa, Nezu, and their agencies. Work studies are suspended, and Centipeder inherits the Nighteye Agency, where he and Bubble Girl await Mirio's return. Eri has woken but is too fragile for visitors, and her horn has shrunk with the fever. In Class 1-A, Yuga Aoyama startles Izuku by feeding him cheese, declines lunch, then watches him sleep from the balcony and leaves a message spelled in cheese: I know. Days later, after showing off Navel Buffet☆Laser and the stomach trouble it costs him, Yuga explains. He knows One For All does not fit Izuku's body because a birth defect makes his own laser leak, which is why the belt never comes off. Nobody should carry that alone. The two become friends, and Mina notices Yuga has cheered up.

Seiji Shishikura raises the Quirk Singularity theory to explain the children's power.

Katsuki, Shoto, Inasa, and Camie win the children over with an ice slide, Whirlwind, and Glamour, concluding the Provisional Hero License Course.

U.A. and Shiketsu begin cooperating against the League of Villains. Endeavor tells Shoto he intends to become a hero worth his pride.

Sir Nighteye's funeral takes place, work studies are suspended, and Centipeder assumes control of the Nighteye Agency. Eri wakes with a shrunken horn.

Yuga Aoyama reveals his birth defect to Izuku and the two become friends.

Drawn from Chapter 166 onward through Chapter 168, the episode closes the Remedial Course arc.
