Roaring Sports Festival

All Might puts a request to Izuku: use the U.A. Sports Festival to tell everyone that a new generation's All Might has arrived. Izuku doubts he can carry that. He is told to sit with it rather than accept on the spot, and asked not to lose hold of what he felt back at Takoba Municipal Beach Park.

When classes end, Class 1-A finds its own doorway impassable, jammed with students from elsewhere in the school. Katsuki reads it plainly: rival classes have come to size up the group that survived the villains, right before the main event. His attempt to bully them off draws a reply from a General Department student, who explains that results at the festival can move someone like him into Heroics, and can move a Heroics student out. Consider it war declared, he tells them. A Class 1-B student then bellows that he came to look at the villain-beaters, calls them arrogant, and warns them not to humiliate the school. Izuku begins to understand that the ambition he carries is shared by a great many people.

Over the fortnight that follows, the class trains on its own terms.

The day arrives with security heavily reinforced and the whole event going out on a live broadcast. Waiting with his class, Izuku is approached by Shoto Todoroki, who tells him he is the weaker of the two and that he intends to beat him anyway. Izuku grants the gap, then points out that everyone here, students from every department included, is reaching for the top, and says he means to do the same. Shoto finds that interesting.

Class 1-A steps out onto the Freshmen Stage. The festival is underway.

Shoto declares he will defeat Izuku, and Izuku takes up the challenge.

Twenty pages, collected in Volume 3, first published December 15, 2014 in issue 3 of 2015 and adapted as Episode 15. Izuku Midoriya and All Might appear on the cover, which the wiki records alongside a color page, title page, and sketch. Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu and Hitoshi Shinso both debut.
