Summary

Monika's manager walks Kazuho Haneyama through the controls of the company mecha she will use onstage. Koichi Haimawari wonders aloud whether swapping one official mascot idol for another is really allowed, which baffles the manager, since Monika was never their idol to begin with. Admitting he never grasped what the event was for, he supposes she got signed up as Kanidoge's idol in some loose sense. In truth she works sales, does it very well, and has a habit of not being around.

Down in the loading dock beneath SS Mall, Monika Kaniyashiki watches three workers unload food packaging, two of them riding mechs. She interrupts to inspect the merchandise, offering the excuse that the books at the market are not adding up. The workers are thrown by the sudden decision but go along with it and hand her a tablet.

Doing her real job, she finds a batch that matches nothing in the company catalog and opens a box expecting Trigger. What she finds is a crab and a pile of icepacks in two sizes, with no false bottom hiding anything.

A worker walks over to ask whether she has sorted out the problem. She levels her gun at him and demands to know who he is. He claims to be part-time staff, but she knows every part-timer at that dock by sight. She has also worked out that the drug is packed inside the icepacks, and that the tablet carries the records of the smuggling network.

Caught out, Number 6 compliments her reasoning and uses his Quirk to strip the gun and the tablet from her hands in an eyeblink. She dives for cover and calls in backup. Fat Gum arrives with the Police Force, flooding the dock and ordering everyone to freeze with their hands up. The workers comply. The villain does not, so Fat Gum dares him to try the gun. He drops it and keys a code into the tablet instead, sending the Kanidoge mechs into a rampage.

Upstairs, the mech Kazuho is piloting for the idol event stirs into motion.

Key Events

Monika turns out to be a sales representative rather than an official company idol, which is why Kazuho stepping into the role confuses nobody except Koichi.

Monika deduces that the Trigger is concealed inside the shipment's icepacks and that the workers' tablet holds the smuggling records.

The Scarred Man, hiding among the dock workers, exposes himself by disarming Monika with his Quirk before the Police Force and Fat Gum reach the scene.

The villain remotely activates the Kanidoge mechs, setting them loose at the dock and at the idol event where Kazuho is behind the controls of one.
